From booking the tickets to registration and actually going go-karting, everything went incredibly smoothly. Our captain, Sebastian, was exceptional. He not only guided us throughout the process but also made us feel incredibly welcome with his warm and friendly character. He even took a bunch of photos for us, so we didn't have to worry about capturing the memories ourselves. I highly recommend bringing a Go-Pro to record your driving experience, it's totally worth it! Overall, I highly recommend this activity to everyone.Written 13 January 2024

Can not recommend booking one of these trips enough, high adrenaline fun and gives you a good overview of the city!
The karts are high paced and you are driving in and out of traffic around the city. We felt safe with our guide the whole time and feel like we really did get value for money! We only had a short stay in Tokyo but this tour made us feel like we saw a lot and the shop you leave from is in a great location for places to eat and markets to look at afterwards and electric city is a short walk away.
We really did have sore faces from smiling and waving at the Japanese and a full 2 hours of fun
Make sure you wrap up warm if you get cold, warm shoes/socks and gloves are a great idea if your in winter. And you need an international license to drive them as well which only cost $28 in NZ and takes 5minutes to get from the AA
Thanks to our guide Sam, we felt really safe with you in charge and we feel like you gave us the chance to get as much as we could out of the tour!
Only suggestion is that it’s hard to hear what the tour guide is saying when your on the road unless your the person up the front so you have to relay the messages back for what your looking at, Sam could project his voice more? But maybe would be good to look at getting headsets so that you can hear a lot more about the city and guides have a better opportunity to talk to riders and keep them safe also!

What a truly unique, fun, thrilling experience; don’t miss this opportunity—get an international driver’s license before leaving for Japan. Without it—no go. With it—woohoo! (For us, it cost less than $20 for license and only a few minutes to fill out paperwork.)
Yosuke, our guide, was fabulous! From the moment we stepped into the shop, he put us all at ease. He was completely prepared, answered all of our questions patiently, insured the experience was great fun but also always safe. He took excellent photos of our group throughout our tour and he had fun interactions with pedestrians and was thoughtful to other vehicles and drivers.
Not only was it a kick to drive the streets of Tokyo, but we also had many landmarks pointed out to us by Yosuke. The StreetKarts offer a much different vantage point than from the sidewalk.
Yosuke, you’re the best!! (And we sure enjoyed the Ramen restaurant you pointed out to us along the route!)

We had a guided tour with Marvin around Asakusa, Tokyo Skytree, Tokyo Station and Ginza. Marvin was a very enthusiastic guide who made us feel safe on our drive throughout the city. Getting your International Drivers Permit is necessary but definitely worth it as it was one of the most thrilling and exciting experiences I have ever had!

We were in Tokyo for a day so our time was very limited. It was the last leg of our honeymoon and it was the best way to end it! Our Tour guide was Yosuke and he was very friendly!
I loved that he rotated the people in our group and moved the people that were in the back towards the front to get better pictures of them. When we were at stoplights, he tried his best to explain where we were such as the train station or Tokyo Tower, but the engines of the Karts were a little too loud for us to hear his explanations.
In the shop, they had plenty of cameras and equipment to rent, and different costumes to try on. I wish they had more clean costumes or washed them better but they were in decent condition and they had various sizes.
Before you drive, they get you to watch safety videos and they help you get ready for the ride. Their website explained the importance of getting an International License and we are so glad we got it. They will not allow you to drive a kart without one!

We had so much fun! My partner and I went on the evening Akiba medium tour with Alina as our guide a few days ago. Whizzing around Tokyo with an unimpeded view of the cityscape was amazing - would very highly recommend to anyone visiting Tokyo, whether it be first time or not (this was my 4th time to Tokyo but I'd never gotten around to doing the tour til now!). Alina was super friendly, took lots of photos for us and told us interesting tidbits about the surrounds.
Remember to dress warm if you're doing an evening tour, and don't forget gloves.
Also make sure to have your international driving permit organised, otherwise you won't be allowed on the roads.

This is a really fun experience. As every other reviewer has mentioned, you MUST have an International Drivers Permit and your Passport to drive!!! The first few minutes may be a bit stressful as you get used to driving the cart. But after that, things come together quickly. Pedestrians and other drivers take notice and really seem to enjoy watching the costume clad cart riders zooming by or waving at them at stop lights. Your drive takes you by some good sights. Two hours passes quickly. Our guide, Yosuke was extremely personable, and professional. He provided a lot of confidence and was keeping track of our group the entire time.
There is a short introductory training video that does provide enough information to boost your confidence in driving the carts before you hop in.

From start to finish, our Street Kart Japan adventure was nothing short of spectacular! Zipping through the streets of Tokyo in go-karts, felt like something out of a dream. The experience was thrilling, unique, and the perfect way to see the city from a whole new perspective.
What really made our day exceptional were our fantastic tour guides, Julian and his coworker. Their energy was contagious, and their knowledge of the city added so much to the experience. They made sure we were all safe while keeping the fun at an all-time high. Julian’s enthusiasm and genuine passion for what he does truly shone through, making everyone in the group feel welcome and excited.
Our guides took us to some of the best spots for photos, ensuring we have memories to look back on for years to come. They also shared fascinating insights about Tokyo that only locals would know, which really enriched the tour. Returned back to Japan after going about 2 years ago with a few friends who have never been. Definitely wanted to do this tour again..
Shaveen was an amazing, fun, and safe tour guide! He had a ton of charisma and was also great at taking photos. The karts were all performing well.

Such a fun way to see Tokyo - hooning around the city streets at 50km/hr! The karts were easy to drive and felt very safe in the hands of our guides Adam & Julian. We chose the 5:30pm timeslot which worked really well as we saw the city at dusk so you get the people in the day and then coming into night you get the lights. A Tokyo must-see!

It was a comfortable experience with driving across sunset timing at the height of sedan in public road even it was so windy. And the driving time was around one hour without tightening.
The lead driver gave the other drivers many click almost with by every stop.
The route choice was also proper to watch main areas centered from Tokyo station driving in most of main streets.
And it was a kind of happy Monday in Japan to cerebrate people crossing 20 age so for them we would be a part of funny memory. Then it was a good timing also for me.
I am just wondering the price accuracy for 15,000 JPY per ride as the following details.:
Go-kart rental fee / Gasoline fuel cost / Costume rental / Driving guides / Consumption tax / Photo Shooting
It is possible if the photo shooting done by professional and driving guides cost 5,000 JPY for each or Go-kart rental cost 5,000 other than photo shooting and driving guides.
But this time it costed 9,000 JPY so it seems reasonable.
Anyway I appreciate all the staffs for the kind guides.
