Takashi San is an excellent tour guide and very passionate about giving his guests the best experience, as well as Brompton culture in Japan. The tour was more expansive than I expected, covering a lot of ground around the Iya Valley, allowing us to take in a lot of majestic sights at a good altitude. It gave me a good understanding of the lay of the land to one day plan my own cycling itinerary of the area, which is the mark of a good bike tour in my opinion.
This tour seems to be suitable for all ability levels and the lunch break at a good restaurant with an amazing view was a nice anchor point for the rest of the journey to follow.
Highly recommended.

This was the best trip I took during my stay in Japan! The ride was fun and sometimes challenging, views breathtaking, I got to experience the local vibe and the guide was a very friendly and open person. This definitely inspired me to take more local guided trips and is definitely not my last journey to Iya Valley! Thank you Murphy and everyone!!!

Takashi is the owner of this business and was my private tour guide. As I am 72 and in good shape except for bad knees, I was apprehensive about my ability to do this tour without an electric bike. I did not want to be in a group, as I was afraid I would slow them down. Takashi assured me that I could go at my own pace with a private guide. The course had some hills that were too difficult for me to bike. Takashi totally understood, and walked with me on the steeper hills. In addition to steep hills going up, there are many very long, steep hills going down, which were a bit daunting at first. However, Takashi slowly lead the way as I gained confidence and then enjoyed the ride. In addition to this thrilling bike ride, I walked across a rope bridge that crossed the gorge. Takashi was on the other side taking pictures. We had a delicious lunch at an outdoor cafe which shared the space with one of the “peeing boys” statues. Because Takashi speaks English he was able to share interesting information with me.

Thank you for coming all the way to Shikoku!
We are glad that you enjoyed the tour to the end, although it may have been a bit difficult since the course was in the mountains.
We would be happy if we could enjoy another tour with you when you come back to Japan.

We have had a thoroughly enjoyable, fun day exploring the Iya Valley. Takashi and Makoto were excellent, informative guides and we felt very safe and supported by them both as we rode down the valley. The stops along the way were interesting and very well chosen. Iyaonsen Hotel was a picturesque place to stop for lunch and a relaxing bath in their onsen down at the river was very well worth it. Food was great. The coffee at Haretoke Cafe was exceptional. Thank you Takashi and Makoto for a wonderful and memorable day.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the 2 bike tours we did in the company of Takashi. These were the Iya Valley and Agricultural World Heritage tours. Takashi was a super guide...knowledgeable, friendly , with an excellent command of English and very considerate of our needs. The bikes were in excellent condition and the routes very well planned and Takashi tailored them to suit our needs and ability. We could not have wished for 2 better days to gain an insight into the beauty of this area of Shikuko. We would recommend these tours highly. Many thanks, Takashi.

Wow! Our group of 4 adults and 3 teenagers had the most fabulous day with Takashi-san, Miwa-san and Hajime-san cycling through the Iya Valley on Brompton Bicycles. We had such fun with our lovely guides who thought of every detail and made sure we saw the most beautiful spots throughout the day. I recommend this tour so highly. It is a day we will remember fondly forever. Thank you so much, Takashi-san, Miwa-san and Hajime-san!

Absolutely wonderful ride! The Bromptons were new to us, but they were super fun to ride, and Miyoshi was a fantastic guide—knowledgeable and kind.
Add in gorgeous scenery, quiet roads, and a tasty lunch stop and it was a perfect day.
