I had an extremely disappointing experience with Austrian Airlines, as they denied me boarding without providing any valid explanation. As a loyal customer with a long history of problem-free flights, I was shocked by this treatment.
I was travelling home via Vienna on a transit flight. I do not require a visa to enter the EU or the Schengen area, and all my travel documents were valid. In fact, the border police confirmed that I was allowed to enter the transit airport.
Despite this, Austrian Airlines refused to let me board, shifting the blame onto the Austrian border police. However, the border authorities stated that the decision was entirely the airline’s responsibility. When I pointed this out and requested clarification, my complaint was simply ignored.
Such unprofessional and arbitrary treatment is unacceptable. I expected much better from Austrian Airlines, and this experience has severely undermined my trust in the airline.
