Our connecting Aer Lingus flights from Chicago to Dublin then Dublin to JFK were uncharacteristically “smooth” for air travel. The planes were clean, loved the 2-4-2 seat configuration so that my husband and I could sit by ourselves on window/aisle....it just makes the long trip more comfortable. A warm food service both ways was welcome and unexpected. But were Aer...

No food or beverage service on international flight. Disappointing. One hour+ delay taking off. Nothing special to recommend.

We went to Dublin with Swiss Airlines, where we were served a free coffee or tea, a hot vegetable quiche or apricot tart, and a small chocolate bar, all included in the price of the flight which cost half the price of our return trip with Aer Lingus, where we did not even get a free glass of water.

So our flight from Isle of man was delayed to Dublin and then we had a direct flight to Lax. Well we made it to the gate with 5 minutes to spare but they had already closed the gate. We had already confirmed and had our seats. I don't understand why they would do that. Then we literally had to...

Took a flight to Manchester early Wednesday. The flight is a turbo prop and you board via a bus. Flight was on time but even though they called class groups they put us all on one bus. The result is a very disorganized loading as people in front had to wait for people in rear as you load in back...

although the middle seat was left empty for paying extra in the front few rows, there was still no leg room as the rows were squished together. even with paying extra, one had to pay for water, tea, coffee or a soft drink--i thought that was fairly spartan! although we did get a 'jet-bridge' to the plane, on the flight...

We booked exit for seats both flights for a small surcharge. Well worth the expense for a guy like me with long legs. Both flights were on time and very comfortable with a nice range of snacks. Aer Lingus cabin crew have a superb reputation and the crew on these flights were no exception. The Aircraft was an Airbus normally...

Aer Lingus was so much better than any domestic US flight. The seats were way too small though. Food was good except for the awful snack before landing. At least the entertainment (music, movies) made the flight go faster. The service was outstanding. Boarding outside up a ramp was not good.
