Flight is Uptown Urban in Atmosphere, Wine Selections

Flight, located on Main Street in downtown Hendersonville, has the kind of atmosphere you would find in a restaurant in Chicago or Miami.  The cuisine is international, but their real claim to fame is the applewood grill.  Everything from scallops to lobster to filet mignon is available on the mixed grill.  Flight doesn't forget it is in the south though -- there's a rockin' shrimp and grits entree and, in the spring and summer, grilled NC trout. 

 The entrees can be pricey, but there are wood grilled pizzas and substantial appetizers that make a light dinner possible and inexpensive.  They feature 40 wines by the glass -- Tuesday night is half off bottle night and Thursday night is Martini night, although it should be called cocktail night.
