Carolina Beach is a throwback to days long ago; it is a very friendly, laid back vacation town. Carolina Beach boasts many fine hotels, such as Atlantic Towers, and fine restaurants, such as the Trolly Stop, and the Deckhouse. The Trolly Stop serves incredible hot dogs, and the Deckhouse serves the best seafood this side of Calabash. Top it off with a trip to the historic Boardwalk, where you can play at the old (and new) arcades, browse the gift shops, and have a fresh made donut at Britt's Donut Shop. Britts is a family owned business, and has been in business since 1939. Boardwalk even boasts a small Putt-Putt, where you play all you want for $5 !

There is also the Carolina Beach marina, where you can see all the boats and the catch of the day. You can go deep sea fishing, or take a romantic nighttime cruise. Also, the Carolina Beach Lake Park, with beautiful trails, and rental paddleboats. There are the regular shopping stores, such as Wings, and Eagles, and a great movie theater. So many wonderful restaurants, and the locals are friendly and accomodating. Carolina Beach is the true definition of family vacation, and is a great place to visit. Don't forget all the other attractions, such as the Carolina Beach pier, nearby Fort Fisher, the NC Aquarium, and the Children's Museum in nearby Wilmington. Not to mention the clean sandy beaches, and the relaxing atmosphere.
