If you want to do a character meal, but don't know which one, this may help you:

For kids (and adults) who are crazy about Cinderella and her Castle:  Lunch at Cinderella's Royal Table is fantastic.  Immediately after checking in, you go into a royal entry hall where you have your photos with Cinderella.  They will bring them to you while you are dining.  They are in a really nice pink folder with lyrics from "A Dream is a Wish You Heart Makes" on the outside, a picture of the castle and your picture with Cinderella.  All kids are given a light-up wishing star for the wishing ceremony, boys are given a knight's sword and girls are given a magic wand.  They do a fun chanting ceremony where each section has their own little chant and they do the wishing ceremony.  The characters that were there: Cinderella, Fairy God Mother, Belle, Sleeping Beauty and Snow White.  Each will come to your table for pictures and a chat.  Fabulous interaction and the food is good also.

Garden Grill at Epcot is a really cool revolving restaurant that rotates through scenes of the Living with the Land ride.  The food is served family style and is all-you-can-eat.  The veggies and the fish are raised right there and when you are finished eating you can go downstairs and get on the Living with the Land boat ride to see where.  The characters are Mickey, Pluto, Chip and Dale.  They come to each table for pictures and are very silly although of course they don't talk like the princesses.

Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary resort has a fantastic buffet which they have for breakfast or dinner.  It is a very lively environment.  The characters are Mickey, Goofy, Chip & Dale, Pluto, and sometimes Donald.  This is a good place to begin a day at the Magic Kingdom since it is just a monorail or boat ride away.

Liberty Tree Tavern at Magic Kingdom is a great character dinner at Magic Kingdom.  It is fabulous food such as turkey, beef and ham with creamed potatoes, stuffing, etc. all served family style in a fun atmosphere.  Characters are Minnie, Goofy, Pluto and other friends may be there.

If anyone is a Pooh fan then Crystal Palace is a great buffet to enjoy.  Consider the breakfast buffet to begin a day at the Magic Kingdom.  Great breakfast variety.  Characters include Pooh, Tigger, Piglet and Eyeore.  Crystal Palace is character dining for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Donald, Mickey, Pluto and Goofy are all available to meet at Donald's Breakfastosaurus at Restaurantosaurus in Animal Kingdom.  It's a breakfast buffet and the characters all come around the tables in their special restaurantosaurus outfits.  Food is typical breakfast style including cereals, pancakes, fruit and hot food such as sausage, bacon and eggs.
