Although it is fairly far north, Dubrovnik has a relatively mild climate due to its coastal location on the Adriatic Sea.  The average high temperature in the summer months is in the 80's, while the average during the winter is in the 40's.  The temperature rarely drops below freezing, although the winter months do see an increased amount of rainfall.   In order to best enjoy Dubrovnik's beautiful coast, most visitors to the city come during the warmer summer months when boating, fishing, and swimming are in season.  For an up to date weather forecast of Dubrovnik click here .
