The town of Saint Jean de Luz is such a popular tourist destination because of two main reasons. 1) It is home to a main fishing port where some of the freshest seafood in the region is delivered. Hence, the restaurants in town serve very fresh seafood dishes. 2) The climate in the area is quite nice. The winters are relatively short and the summers are hot. It does get humid in Saint Jean de Luz due to its location being so close to the ocean.
The two seasons that are most popular for tourists to visit Saint Jean de Luz are spring and summer. During the spring, the weather can be nice and cool. There’s always a chance that the weather can get cold during the spring months, but that does not keep the tourists away. During the summer, the area gets quite hot but tourists seem to enjoy the heat as they take advantage of the great beaches.
The weather during the fall season is usually very nice, but this time of year is not as popular for tourists probably because of the simple fact that it’s not the most popular time of year to take a vacation.
