Covering the crater of a billion-year-old former volcano, Pilanesberg is home to the Big Five animals (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo), as well as giraffes, zebras, hippos, antelope, crocodiles and over 350 bird species.

The most wonderful experience, this game lodge in Pilanesburg national park hits the spot. Food is mixed-breakfast and afternoon tea is great, dinner a slight let down but the all round experience...more

The food was excellent and Chef Nicholas clearly enjoyed sharing it with the guests. Zander was a great guide that found everything we could think of. He could even anticipate the animals next moves...more
