“Excellent.........value for money”

this hotel is one of the older hotels.......,the public areas are clean and modern...,the bedrooms are probably a little dated...,but are clean ,tidy and a very good size..,and cleaned daily..
the staff are great...,always friendly and willing to help....
food is all buffet style ,as in most hotels.....,Breakfast:great....,cereal,fruit,bread,bacon,eggs sausage, beans, tomatoes, spanish ommellette........,tea,coffee,fruit juice...........plus pastries etc.
Lunch and dinner.........always soup, salad, bread, meat, fish, vegetables, potatoes, rice and of course chips...................desserts :creme caramel, mousse, fruit, ice cream.......
so something for everyone..
there is evening entertainment...,every night..........,the animacion team do a great job.......,they try to cater for everyones tastes..............
the hotel is situated in one of the quieter parts of the island.........,but buses run regularly to all other parts of tenerife, and arent expensive, especially if you get a "bono"card....this hotel is an ideal base for a holiday.................
If you want to explore tenerife ,and have a relaxing holiday--this is the hotel for you!

if you want to go out clubbing, partying into the night, and being rowdy--then stay in one of tenerifes south resorts!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the punta del rey!

“£20 a night all inclusive in the sun - can you find this in UK?”

Just came back with my husband, stayed 2-9th of Feb 2012. All we can say: great! had really relaxing holiday! Exeptional value for money.
Very helpful staff, information desk is most helpfull if you want to explore the island) Queen size bed, all cleaned daily. Beautiful vews from the balcony: ocean on one side, mountains on the other side.
Unlimited drinks all day, no quees at the bar. Selection of salad is great, unlimited fruite. Food is not too hot but it`s how they serve it anywhere in other pubs. (We have seen larger variaty of dishes at dinner of course but paid three times more then)To be fair: hundreds of people dining at the same time and staff managed to keep everything under control.
(Be prepared: it`s more spanish, just about 10-20% of English people. Entertaining is really professional, every day different and never boring. Entertaning staff speaks probably 5 languages. Dance music every night intill midnight.
If you like loud nightlife you need to ask for that when booking or "tick" that in your search engine. Or just have to go to Magaluff or Las Americas (Tenerife version of Magaluff) I have asked for closeness to the sea and that`s what we had. February is not best season of course, but that`s the same in any hotel :-))
Very eazy to get around by bus, now I wouldn`t book transfers, but you don`t know that when first time.
Overall - high quality holiday for very low price!

Room Tip: we stayed in room 735,good vew.

“surprised after other reviews”

after reading reviews i was a bit sceptical on arrival first impression i was not too impressed but every day got better, first food not bad at all always something unless you are a very fussy eater in that case stay in England.anything from burger with chips chicken pitza all at poolside bar and a good mixture in dining room, good breakfast bacon eggs beans tomatoes, and a good selection of continential freshly baked.
the entertainment was great Renate, ale, and Aaron, worked non stop to keep everyone entertained although 90% spanish in the hotel we got on great with all of them,
the only bad point was there is not much going on in Caletillas but a bus stop over the road can get you all over the island get a blue bona card and travel up to 50% cheaper i would not recomend for young people but some in the hotel had a great time with us depends on the person. but for couples good value holiday we paid 500pounds for two weeks all inclusive and we had a great holiday every night dancing and a show of some sort.
screens for football if wanted, weather was great come back with a good tan, oh and hotel was spotless and rooms.i must add i have travelled all over the world and i would recomend if you want a holiday for a bargain price simone and brian

Room Tip: ask for corner suites for a sunny balcony

“Basic... not much to do...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

I went with my partner for 5 days and as much as we wanted to stay in the sun we were ready to leave the hotel. We stayed in October wanting a short break in the sun. The food was average with little variation each night (or lunch for that!) Reception area of the hotel gave a good impression. The room was ok but as a previous room said there was no happy temperature for the air con at night. Toilet kept breaking but they did fix it straight away each time. Didn't want to switch rooms as our balcony was on the end and we could view the sea! I never saw the pool get cleaned but it wasn't too bad. Not enough umbrellas around though. Not much to do outside the hotel, there was a very nice relaxing bar/restaurant, can't remember the name but if you turn right out the hotel and walk up the road you'll see it on the corner as the road seperates different ways. It was a nice holiday but I wouldn't return. The water park is a must, you can get a bus there but its about an hour or so. The pool that's by the sea is out of action.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the front end, the view is fab and you get the sun on the balcony until the evenin...

“A very pleasant surprise”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 February 2012

Had we read the reviews of this hotel prior to booking our holiday I think it unlikely that we would have selected this particular one - and so we reached reception with some anxiety. We took the view that we were merely looking for a base from which to explore the island and as long as we were able to get a decent cup of coffee and a good night's sleep then that would suffice, having paid 'nunpence' for the deal our expectations weren't that high. Fortunately our fears were unfounded and we found this to be an excellent place to stay.

Firstly the room was spacious, clean with a king size bed and wonderful bathroom/shower. The decor was modern with a balcony overlooking the ocean on one side and moutains the other. It was cleaned efficiently daily and was very comfortable.

Our concerns regarding the food also proved to be unjustified. We were served a great selection of fresh dishes most days with a wide range to choose from including plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables. The wine offered at meal times is pretty hideous, but other than that it was impressive. The food is servered at a lower temperature than we are used to, but believe me it's the Tenerife way! Having dined out in some fairly pricey restuarants during the week we stayed (30-50 per head) in Santa Cruz, Puerto,Candalaria as well as the local fish restaurant 5 minutes from the hotel I can confirm that ALL meals were served colder than in the U.K.

The bar selection was OK, with at least double measures of spirits included. After 11pm you have to pay but these were never more than 3 euros. We never waited for more than a few minutes at the bar.

The evening entertainment wasn't really to our liking, but it was packed out every night so they are pleasing someone!

We found the information guy who is in reception very useful. His tourist suggestions, bus routes, maps etc were spot on everytime. We went out most days and discovered that most of the island can be reached within an hour using the efficient and cheap public busses.

We are in our late 40's and were probably some of the youngest! If you want a wild night club and pool scene then, granted, it's not for you! :)

About 50% of the guest were Spanish, 25% U.K. and the rest from other parts of Europe. We had no language problems with the staff at all.

Overall a very pleasant surprise!

Room Tip: The best rooms are overlooking the pool, the higher up the better. If you use the busses then purcha...
