Booked one nights stay as we travelled back towards the port & was so pleasantly surprised we wished we were staying longer. Yes the hotel was difficult to find but once there the views were amazing. The staff were so friendly & gave us a room upgrade. My husband & I were given a duplex with stunning view of the sea & our single friend luxuriated in a huge double room. The rooms were clean, even had tea/coffe making facilities (very rare), the TV choices included all UK channels due to the proximity of the Channel Islands. One criticism about our room was a separate toilet & a smallish bathroom but this was offset by the extra bed/sofa downstairs & balcony bedroom.
The bar/breakfast room overlooked the sea as did the outside terrace but that was not used as it was too windy.
The underground car park was very tight-we find this all the time in French hotels!!!
There is a lift to the car park & also the beach.
Breakfast was good, ample choice-even bacon & scrambled eggs provided.
Two restaurants were recommended by Reception & they were a bit of a walk away in the port. Sadly the better of the two did not open on Wednesdays but the other was OK.
The only down side was the walk back up the hill to the hotel! Very steep.
Overall I have to recommend this hotel & would love to return to explore Granville as it looked like a "proper" seaside resort with plenty of shops & bars.
