After ready reviews after we had booked our holiday, we were really concerned, but I have to say on the whole we had a great holiday. We booked with an agent on the beach, but travelled with Hotels 4 u. Our rep was usless only interested in selling trips, dont book the Health farm, still waiting for a refund. The staff were not what I am used to they were not over friendly, but I believe its because a lot of the other guests are rude not any english I met, so after a couple of days of smiling saying thank you they seemed more friendly towards us. I couldnt stand the pushing in at the bar and on a couple of occations I told people to get to the back of the line. In the restaurant it was very busy, but we always found a table, it was funny one night we had a table and left one of our 6 year old twins eating while we got some food and drinks for the other two children and when we got back to the table there were other peoples food plates, the russians seem to take enough food to feed the 5000, so we moved them to the side, and when they got back they gave us a dirty look took there plates and went to get another table, to be honest it made us laugh at the ignorance of some people, and to be honest glad to be english. Reading the bad reviews actually made it better because I was expecting far worse. The entertanment was really good, and the animation team were really friendly and seemed pleased to have english there. The pool party was fantastic not to be missed. alot of reviews I read said about the greedy russians eating all the food, and to be fair they are greedy and pile there tables up with all manor of food, but the restaurant staff were continually putting more food out, and the food was very good. The views were stunning and although it was very hot there was a lovely breeze in the evenings. You could eat food all day, plenty of choice, the beer was nice, and I am a wine drinker, but the wine wasn't that good.

We've just returned from the Green Beach Resort but we certainly haven't had a luxury 5 star holiday. The Green Beach Resort is good if you are looking for a pool holiday and you enjoy reading books. Exploring the local area with kids is difficult as the local village is a long and steep walk away and it costs 5 turkish lire each to get to Bodrum (£16 for a family of 4). The hotels rooms are plainly decorated and are starting to look a bit tired. We had a room in the Family Club to start with and I wasn't impressed - the bathroom was dirty and we had no balcony. For some unknown reason we were moved the next day to the main hotel and the room was larger ( 2 separate rooms and a bathroom) but still decorated the same. The bathroom was a great improvement and there was even a jacuzzi bath but when we turned it on it made the water turn brown - it was dirty so we didn't use it again. The rooms are cleaned with fresh towels daily. The air conditioning was only in the main bedroom so the childrens room had no air conditioning and became quite warm. The food was OK - typical buffet food and there are chefs cooking on a barbecue every night ( if you're happy to queue). Breakfast was orientated to the Iranian and Russian guests with lots of salads although variations of egg dishes were available - we tended to have toast and cereals. The fruit juice is very watery and fresh orange juice is extra as is bottled water. Evening entertainment was amateurish as the entertainment team put on different shows, although our 11 year old loved the kids disco!! Drinks in plastic cups become tasteless and even in the restaurant the small glasses seem to leave you constantly thirsty. Take snorkels if you have them as swimming in the sea with the fish is great fun and makes a change from sitting by the pools. We were always able to get 4 seats by the pool. If you want a cheap all inclusive holiday then it's not too bad but don't expect luxury and take some dollars with you as that is what the Turkish shop keepers want - we only had Turkish Lire and I always felt as if I was been ripped off - 22 TL (£8.80) for an airbed and 25 TL (£10) for suncream in the hotel shop so go to Boots and stock up well!! Bodrum was fun bartering for goods but it was too far away to go more than once although the bus ride was an experience. We've had a week in the sun and a lot of fun in the pool but I wouldn't go back.

Just returned from a weeks stay at green beach which we had booked last minute and it met or exceeded all our expectations. We had read many of the reviews and most were accurate regarding annoying Russians but the facilities for the kids are great. The location, although not on a sandy beach was fabulous with a brilliant kebab come burger shack down at the water side where you could watch the fish in the crystal clear water and go snorkelling or canoeing or enjoy a great variety of water sports. The views from the front of the hotel are amazing which makes the setting increadible. The food generally was good and in a very nice restaurant that felt as if you were eating outside. The pools are great with the main pool having entertainment during the day although we based ourselves near the pool which was located near the family rooms and water slides which was a little more tranquil (plus our kids were on the water slides all day!!). It goes without saying that we can moan about everything if given a chance but as far as the basics go this hotel was great! we relaxed, the kids had a ball and the evening entertainment was entertaining enough!! All in all, great value for money and I would recommend to all who are a bit nervous about booking last minute. Better time to go though is later in the summer as it is less of a 'bun fight' at dinner!!

We stayed at GreenBeach for 2 weeks from the 8th Aug 2009 and I have to say it was a very enjoyable time. The positives of the Hotel were the Animation team who always keep you entertained with games/shows (The pool party with fireworks and water ballet is amazing) and conversation as you get to know them. Rooms were clean and towels changed daily - (not that you should spend much time in your hotel room on holiday!) Also the hotel setting is amazing with a panoramic sea view. It is a little bit a of a journey to the hotel but is well worth it. The resaurant is probably my only negative in that it does get very busy and to us Brits most people are a little selfish and pushy. The food is varied, but slightly repetitive. The most annoying part is that you have to ask for cutlery or select it for yourself which should'nt be representitive of a 5 star hotel. All in all I would definetly recommend GreenBeach.

I've just come back from Green beach hotel. Before I go I read most of comments and I didn't expect much from this hotel but this hotel is really good. It has some good points and some bad ones. It is a 5 star hotel but not a top 5 star.
Location: Location is great if you decide to stay in hotel all the time and enjoy hotel facilities. but there are minibuses which go to bodrum and gondugan every 30 minutes at hotel entrance. to bodrum it is 5 lira for each person and to Gundogan it's 1.5 lira.
My family and I just stayed in the hotel for whole week, we just wanted to enjoy the great scenary, beach, sun and....
The hotel is so beautiful, with a great view toward the sea. It has 4 out door and 1 indoor swimming pool. There is one main pool where all animation activities and water games take place. You can usually find sun beds there. but between 10-12am it's a bit busy, so better be early to have a sun bed. There is a pool bar and one snack bar near this pool which serve drinks and snacks during the day.Pool bar is free till 11pm (everything in hotel is free till 11pm).
Another swimming pool called relax pool is located somewhere so calm with lots of trees . no music to bother you ;)..just a pool to relax.
The other pool is located near the sea with such a lovely view toward the sea. I liked this pool the most. There's a snack bar called Aqua bar near this one pool. The other pool which has 2 slides is for children and adults of course :)..it's so much fun..I really liked it.
The beach: It is fantastic. It doesn't have a sandy beach, as it's shown in most of the photoes there's a deck in the beach where you can jump in to the sea. The water is so clean and nice. I think the depth is about 2.5-3 meteres. It's so fun to swim in the sea. There's a snack bar in the beach, which in my opinion is the best between all of them It always have chicken kebab with all the snack (sausage, hamburger, french fries) that you can find in other snack bars. there is an elevator which take you from the main pool to the beach or you can walk from the other aqua pool to the beach. which is a beautifull road to the beach.
In the spa part, there is 2 saunas and a Turkish bath which are great.I liked both.
Food: food is great. In other reviews I'd read that the food was repetitive but it wasn't except for lunch. There were variaty of foods every day. Breakfasts was so good. It has everything you can think of. The only thing that was missing was omelette. Lunch was good , but dinner was great. everynight they had a kind of kebab. one night chicken, one night fish, one night meat..and many other things. desserts were great. any kind of cake, creams, sweets, candy..you can find anything you like there. Salad bar was also so good. I think the best part was the food. I really like it. One night they served ice cream which was so delicious :D
There is a Tea Garden, which serves tea and cakes everyday at 5-6 pm.
Animation team: Animation team were good, but the games was somehow repetitive. Pool game at 11:30 am was always different but other games were the same, volleyball, dart, water basket (basketball in the water), Football, waterpolo . Animation show was at 10 pm everynight. Some of the shows was so fun but some others were boring.
There was a miniclub at 9pm for children which I think was so fun for children. There is a children area some where like kindergarden with all the games and paintings. Children had so much fun there ;).
The staff were so nice and helpful and most of them speaks English, But not a very good English.
Room service: My only complain is about room service which was bad. They cleaned the room everyday, changed the towels . But they didn't chang the beddings for the whole week, and for 3 days they didn't put any shampoo or soap or anyother things like body lotion in the bath room. whenever I asked them they replied later. And the later never came. refrigerator isn't working, so don't bother asking the reception. in the first day I asked them what's wrong with the refrigerator and they told me they'll send someone right away, but that person never came. So the other day I asked the ones who cleans the room. They said that's the way it is.

All in all, except room service, any other thing about this hotel was so good. I do recommend this hotel.
