Claro de Luna in Monteverde, Costa Rica was a nice hotel choice. It lacks some amenities such as TV, alarm clock and pool but it offers very clean and specious rooms. Rooms are beautifully decorated with local hardwood furniture. The bathroom was spacious and grounds were nicely landscaped. Air conditioning is not necessary in this area. TV would have been nice but there is so much to do, we probably would not have watched it anyway. The hotel is also a short walk to town. I did find restaurants and souvenir shops to be more expensive in this area compared to other regions.
