Saffran Apartments are about 10-15 mins walk from the centre of Side. They are in a very quiet area so benefit from the lack of loud music when you are trying to get to sleep!
The apartments have 2 twin bedrooms each having their own balcony. There are 2 sofa beds in the living room which also has a dining table and chairs, coffee table. phone and safe.it is 20 lira a week for the safe. The air conditioning unit is in the living room and doesn't cost any extra! There is a separate kitchen with large fridge with freezer compartment, kettle, 2 ring hotplate and the usual selection of crockery.
There is another balcony off the kitchen which wraps round the corner of the building and has table and chairs.
The maid service is excellent, daily except on a Monday. We came back to the a'ment one day to find the beds in the main bedroom (which are pushed together) covered in flowers and towels folded in the shape of 2 swans, their necks forming the shape of a heart! It was absolutely beautiful, I didn't want to go to bed and spoil it!
The pool is cleaned daily and is a good size. The only negative thing we can say is that there are a lot of foreign guests here and you have to be up really early to get a sunbed as they must be up at the crack of dawn to put their towels down.
The food here is good and the meals are very reasonable. We paid only 13 lira for a steak compared to around 20 lira elsewhere. Barstaff are friendly, especially Cem and Murat.

Overall, a very good place to stay.

  • Liked — The quiet at night
  • Disliked — Getting up early to get a sunbed!
