Wow - what a find. We were desperately looking for somewhere in and around Annecy that was not outrageously priced, which given the nature of the area is very difficult. We lucked out with this place.

The hotel is actually more of an 'aparthotel' consisting of a series of self catering accommodations attached to a conventional hotel reception. We had the smallest room, a 'Tradition' studio, which like the rest of the hotel itself was modern, well equipped, and very clean. We had an all mod cons kitchen (including mini dishwasher!) so we were able to self cater with ease.

The location is superb - right on the lake. The photos on the hotel website/Expedia do it justice and you really are a few metres from the lakeside surrounded by well maintained grounds. The hotel is situated on a reasonably busy road but the noise is somehow almost totally suppressed.

The staff on reception speak excellent English, although they were kind enough to indulge our attempts at French, and were extremely helpful.

The only downsides that we could think of (and we were struggling here!) are as follows:

1. We had a very confortable sofa-bed to sleep on in our room, however when it was extended the room was a little cramped in the vicinity of the bed itself
2. The hotel is really ony viable if you have a car...breakfast can be supplied by the hotel, and there are 2 or 3 eateries in close proximity, including a boulangerie, but the nearest supermarket is 2-3kms away and the bus service is very infrequent. The nearest town is 10-15km away.

Overall, it was a pleasure to find that this hotel did exactly as it said on the tin. Highly recommended.
