“Great Hostel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 September 2009

I stayed here for 10 nights in a double room, the room had a tv, fridge, sink & mirror and it was very clean. The bathrooms/showers were also clean. The location was brilliant, right across the road from Bondi Beach and a walk or bus ride from Bondi Junction.
The Shack bar served great cheap food every evening & the bar was always good at night. Def the best option for Bondi Beach area.

I stayed at Noah's for 5 nights over New Year's Eve and had a blast. As with all accommodation, you get what you pay for. Noah's certainly isn't the Ritz, but it's also not the horror-fest some other reviews have suggested. Its not a particluarly modern hotel - the bathrooms are reeeeally small, only 2 showers to a corridor, toilets not particularly clean. The bedrooms were bog standard backpacker fair really, a sink and a big mirror were gratefully received however (a bit of compensation for the tiny bathrooms maybe?), and the beds were fine. The kitchen was well sized but a little undersupplied (to be fair though, if people had washed their individual stuff I doubt this would've been an issue).

Was was simply wonderful was the huuuge rooftop patio just off the kitchen, where it was gorgeous to eat breakfast in the morning with the ocean in the background. The views were simply amazing (plus, stating the obvious), it was really REALLY hot. The location was great, and Bondi, although very 'scene', is great. Those interested in the city sights rather than the surf scene would do well, like myself, to spend some time here before moving on to an inner city hostel. The bar adjoined to the hostel was small but good, cheap and nice food and drinks and general debauchary! Friendly staff. great atmosphere, slightly gross hotel. But really, with that view, who cares?!

“Bed bugs and the rest - do not stay!!!!!!!”

Thankfully this hostel is going out of business soon and will be new apartments but do not stay here if going to Bondi - you have been warned! It was as if they were just running things into the ground and none of the staff actually care - it ruined my stay at Bondi!
Firstly, the Hostel is in a state of disrepair with missing doors to bathrooms, toilets and showers and the general cleanliness is nothing short of being in a condemned state. Everything is filthy with cockroaches and other things breeding everywhere and what I learned about the bites all over my body from bed bugs I will be writing to the health department!

“It is not 5 star.. but had a blast!”

i stayed here 2 yrs ago, for 3 months, and we had the best group of people there at the time, we were one big family. The front staff were fantastic. The rooms were small, we were in a 4 bed mixed dorm and our suitcases could bearly fit in there but your not in your room much of the time anyways so no big deal. Shack was a heck of a time, so much fun when you meet the right people. The kitchen was gross, i ddin't cook in it. The rooftop was a great place to have a few drink and catch up with friends. Overall i would recommend this hostel, but you cannot expect a hotel..

i spent 3 nights here, in 8-bed female room. it was ensuite, with 1 toilet and 2 shower rooms, so , it was good.

Location is great, very very close to bus station to Bondi Junction, the convenience store.

just 1 small thing that could be improved was they should have more plates, spoons, cups, etc. in the kitchen!
