I stayed at Noah's for 5 nights over New Year's Eve and had a blast. As with all accommodation, you get what you pay for. Noah's certainly isn't the Ritz, but it's also not the horror-fest some other reviews have suggested. Its not a particluarly modern hotel - the bathrooms are reeeeally small, only 2 showers to a corridor, toilets not particularly clean. The bedrooms were bog standard backpacker fair really, a sink and a big mirror were gratefully received however (a bit of compensation for the tiny bathrooms maybe?), and the beds were fine. The kitchen was well sized but a little undersupplied (to be fair though, if people had washed their individual stuff I doubt this would've been an issue).
Was was simply wonderful was the huuuge rooftop patio just off the kitchen, where it was gorgeous to eat breakfast in the morning with the ocean in the background. The views were simply amazing (plus, stating the obvious), it was really REALLY hot. The location was great, and Bondi, although very 'scene', is great. Those interested in the city sights rather than the surf scene would do well, like myself, to spend some time here before moving on to an inner city hostel. The bar adjoined to the hostel was small but good, cheap and nice food and drinks and general debauchary! Friendly staff. great atmosphere, slightly gross hotel. But really, with that view, who cares?!
