You pay for an unbeatable location at this hotel and get a large room, with chic decor that is now dated (80s style) and an unremarkable older style bathroom down a spiral staircase near the room door. There is no service to speak of, though the staff at the front desk are young, helpful and friendly. There are no real views to speak of, despite suggestions when booking that our deluxe room would enjoy beach vistas from the balcony. The noise from the pub below was well muffled on our floor with the larger deluxe rooms, so we could easily fall asleep with it. We loved our time here because the beach, restaurants, cafes, cliff top walk, shops and transport are right at the door. Given the lack of competition for luxury accommodation at Bondi Beach, I would stay here again for a change of scene and mini city Beach holiday.
