“Best Hotel on the beach”

Just got back from Roatan, first trip to to Honduras. I'm very glad we did our home work and picked our first choice of hotels and areas. West bay is a much nicer area then West end and infinity bay is a very nice hotel.

We rented our condo unit through Vacation rentals .com. One bedroom unit, number 801.

Pro's
1) Very nice grounds and pool. Nice and relaxing.
2) Very clean condo units, and done up well.
3) Good food and fun attmosphere
4) Safe

Con's
1) The hotel is adding a new complex which is under construction during the day and was a bit annoying. Our unit was a fairly close to the new complex so sitting on the patio did expose you to construction noise.
2) small restaurant at this time, once the new complex is complete a new restaurant will be added.

Tips,
- Get your bus driver that picks you up at the airport to bring you to the grocery store on the way to the hotel. We didn't and had to pay $30 for a cab ride to pick up supplies for the week.
- bring your snorkel gear, great spot to just swim out to the reef.

I found this to be a very good choice of hotels for Roatan and good value. Nice area to hang out and chill for the week. If your looking for 5 star all inclusive resort, Roatan may not be for you. If you like the old Caribbean flare with a nice hotel/condo then Infinity bay is for you.

Room Tip: - pick units that are further away from the new building under construction. - try to get your gro...

“SIMPLY THE BEST !”

We recently spent two weeks at Infinity Bay. This is our 3rd year in a row but first year spending two weeks. It is absolutely our favorite place to spend our vacation. The location is second to none, the well manicured grounds, the white sand beach and the magnificent snorkeling right in front of the resort.
The staff is very friendly and they make you feel like one of the family. They remember you year after year. The bar staff is excellent ! Shout out to Freddie, PUMA and Carlos. The Manager Rick is very friendly and accommodating. The food was excellent. Hats off to Juan Carlos and Oscar. Infinity Bay does really try to have top notch service and extras like great live music, Super Bowl on the Beach party, weekly movies and meal specials. Make sure you look up Tommy, Henry and the hardest working guy Emmanel. We can't wait to go back next year.

“Revisiting Paradise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2012

All we could possibly desire in an exquisite resort atmosphere nestled in the white sand, huge palms, a lush variety of flowering plants, & looking out at the crystal clear water made this business trip seem more like a vacation with each moment. This was at least our second stay at Infinity Bay and plan to return often.
We actually were there due to the loss of a dear friend but were met with support & empathy from everyone working in some way at this gorgeous facility as they all had known Ron and missed him as well.
Our luxury condo was just right for all our needs, beautiful as well. The food & drinks, & not to forget the fabulous service at The Palapa Bar & Restaurant, was the gathering point for all new & old friends for sharing the day's activities or planning the next adventure, & especially to enjoy "Sunset" every evening. I could continue to 'sing my praises' as the amenities are many.
We would especially like to thank the General Manager, Rick Kolinsky, for his professional and personable touch that added so much to our lengthy stay.

First and foremost - what a beautiful place.

After a long night of traveling, we had to wait at the airport over an hour for our transport because they didn't have enough room for all their guests and luggage. Instead of them offering to pay for a taxi we waited for on of their workers to come get us in their personal vehicle....but that was all forgiven when we got into our beachfront unit. What a beautiful place (again). Right on the beach, fabulous snorkeling, although a little far from town, there are good restaurants/bars within walking distance on the beach. Our favorite was actually Smugglers Cove up the hill behind the resort. Good food, great company, and an outstanding place to watch the sunset.
Our condo unit was extremely comfortable and since we were only there for coffee in the morning and a shower and sleep at night, it worked well for us. You could cook in your unit but would need all the spices, etc. They also need to update the utensils, some are pretty tattered.

They were constructing a new restaurant facility which should be nice, but the bar near the beach was great. Had breakfast at the palapa most mornings, prices were okay, and the food was good. Coffee was GREAT, although it took awhile to get a refill. The staff at the restaurant and at the beach, were outstanding.

While we were there a ship full of students landed...hotel staff didn't patrol that very well and it was ridiculous that they were allowed to be out in the pool and surrounding area all night ands some lying on the ground in the morning...
All in all, the good so outweighed the bad, we had a blast and will definitely be back, but better prepared.

Room Tip: There are a few beachfront units available...others don't get any view of the beach or ocean...

This is our fourth trip to Infinity Bay in the last two years, and we will be coming back soon. Great location, best beach, huge coral reefs fifty feet from the resort, and crystal clear water. The property is top notch. You should come here before this area becomes over-developed.
