just finished a one week trip to this resort. pleasantly surprised at appearance of resort upon arrival. grounds are very nice and clean. beach was pleasant until cruise ship days on tues, wed, thurs and when all the walking vendors arrive to bother you all day. pics they show of rooms on their website were not of the room i was in and i had the worst room of all in that it faced back of kitchen/bar area and was the roost for one native bird that squawked at dusk and dawn. the stove, micro and remote for tv did not work. i only had to use the micro, but stove and remote should of been working for those who may have wanted to use them. the ceramic floor/grout started to break down between kitchen and bedroom the last few days. i wonder if it will be fixed? staff was generally friendly especially jan. food was ok, but at end of week it was starting to have wear and tear on my stomach. drinks were acceptable except for drinks like pina colladas and strawberry daquiris which they would not put any fruit into(pineapple and strawberries) and therefore were flat and overly sweet. it was my birthday during our week there and they did provide a nice cake at my wifes request. there were complaints of no beach towels during the week. would i go back? probably not, but if you like a small, attractive, well kept resort then this is for you.

This hotel is absolutely amazing. Couldn't have asked for a better vacation. Our room was amazing and huge. Very clean and well kept and maintained. The view was amazing as well. Not that I spent much time in my room. Why would you when there's so much to do in beautiful Roatan.

The food was AMAZING!!!!! Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. There was a great selection for such a small resort. There's less than a 100 rooms in the whole resort so don't expect what you get at mega resorts in Mexico and the Dominican. Alex your a wonderful chef and took such good care of me. And everything was delicious. The crab legs were HUGE and cooked to perfection. There is several choices at each meal and I never ate the same thing twice. Also both Al a carte restaurants were really good. Still thinking about the awesome steak and lobster.

The beach was AMAZING!!!! You can snorkel right off the beach if your willing to swim out a ways. If your not it's only a short walk to your left to find amazing snorkeling. I swam out to the big rock and saw amazing corals and fish. My mom stayed on shore because she's scared of water but loved every minute of only being waist deep and having the fish swim around her legs.

Yean, Miss Mayan Princess, in guest relations was there to great us when we arrived and she never stopped being bright happy and smily. She really does light the whole place up. She was also there to say goodbye (that was hard) and she never missed a beat in between. Girl you rock!!!!

All the staff at the front desk were more than helpful!!! Always smiling and trying to help and if they weren't sure they found someone who knew what you needed. Excellent customer service.

Juan you were great. All of your staff do an amazing job. Thanks for everything. This trip was amazing.

To Siggy, Astor, Tamara and all the many other staff who's names I didn't catch you guys were awesome. Siggy I'm still laughing and smiling. My face might hurt for a month from all the laughs and smiles you gave me while I was there. Astor I'm missing your margerita's. Best I've ever had. Everyone commented on what an awesome bartender you are. Apparently you also make some pretty awesome pina colada's. We were talking about it on the plane ride home. Tamara your so bubbly and quick. You gave me so many smiles and good times too. As for the waiters name who I didn't catch who always had my margerita waiting for me when I arrived for lunch. Your awesome and that's some fantastic customer service skills. To the many other staff who always had a smile on their face and were more than willing to help me with whatever I needed keep up the amazing work. You make a person feel relaxed calm and happy. Just the way a vacation should be.

To the people in the dive shop you rock. Most amazing experience and according to my dad we'll be back in December so we can dive some more. Hopefully make it out on some night dives. Thanks for the laughs Rick and helping me out. Hope to see you when I get back down there. Hopefully it's you who takes me out to get my open water.

Roatan has so much to see. Can't wait to go back and see what I missed this time. Definetly recommend snorkeling ($10 US to rent gear for the day, best $ I ever spent). The diving is soooooo cool. Everyone should do that at least once in their life. Ziplinning was such a rush. Wow I'm hooked. West End so cool. Definetly take the water taxi there and go get "lost" in the town. And for all of you who need to have a burger while away from home there's a Wendy's in French Harbour. I didn't eat there cause I love Island food but, it's there.

Everyone on the whole Island was polite and helpful. Even when we didn't speak the same language we helped each other out. WOW what an amazing journey to an amazing place :) Miss the Island already

Can't say enough good things about this resort. We got lucky and had one of the best suites, room 204, double balcony, area facing ocean and area facing the pool. 2 Bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. About 1400 sq feet so plenty of space for a great time. Full kitchen, full fridge and bar fridge to boot. No complaints about the food, fabulous, not sure why some people complain about it, fresh food stations, lots of salads, different kinds to what one is used to but that's okay-you are in a foreign country. My daughter has celiac and they really catered to her health needs and could not have done a better job. Thank you to Alex and Juan and all kitchen staff. Lots of different choices for dinner and lunch. The staff was all fantastic especially Astor and Ziggy in the bar, Tamara as our waitress and guest relations manager Jan-not sure this is how her name is spelled. Everyone there speaks really good English and it's amazing how nicely they treat you. Dive staff were wonderful. One thing to keep in mind bring along bug spray as the sand flies are vicious even though they do spray for it daily. Make sure you pack your swimsuit/shorts for first day in carry on and take with you as luggage arrives several hours later ffrom airport, no room for it in the shuttle bus. Excursions were great, we went for a lobster,crab dinner at Gio's thru sunwing and also ziplining which was awesome, even for the girl who is afraid of heights. Also rented a car for $50 Us for a 24 hour period. Great thing to do on Sunday as traffic is not as busy and you can drive yourself to airport on Monday to leave. Went in the glass bottom boat to see the coral reef($30 per person if you go the the dock to right of hotel) and get it yourself. Leaves at 9:30 daily and then every few hours after that. Also the snorkeling is fabulous as the fish are right there at the left of the hotel where the reef comes out of the water. Amazing to see. Take the water taxi to West End, great place to look around, shop and go to different restaurants. Did I say we had a fabulous time! Our daughter even went to a local bar and felt very safe and welcome there too. Thanks again to all the staff for a great vacation. Will definitely have to go back again soon.

The resort is very well taken care of, rooms are average, grounds are amazing. The beach is just wonderfull, clean and the sand is raked every night! Although there is a shortage of towels as the cruise ships come in on Tues-Fri and can rent a section of the loungers and towles and they take all the towels when they leave, so the resort guests have none (bring your own towel). They also have a shortage of umbrellas so get out early in the morning to grap one! If you don't get one they have a ton of palm trees close to the resort so no shortage of shade!
If you arrive in the morning, the hotel will pick up your luggage and bring to resort for you but you don't get that until 3pm so make sure you bring your suit/shorts so you can at least change when you get there. Its really safe to take a taxi as well, this way you can bring your own luggage (another option). The resort is about 20 min from the airport.
The food at the resort is good but pretty much the same thing everyday! They only serve breakfast between 7-9am and lunch is served between 12:30-2:30pm and dinner between 7-9pm. All the bars are closed at 11pm and nothing in Roatan stays open past this time. So if you are looking for a party atmosphere, not the place to go!
Very quiet resort, all other resorts in this area are also right on the beach so you can stroll thru them at your leisure.
Great snorkelling right off this beach, lots of vendors and people from the cruise ships come to this beach as well.
All in all the trip was fantastic, the food does need to be improved more. The staff was excellent and were always there when you needed them. Sometimes they would come right on the beach and bring everyone snacks and take drink orders.
Great place to go to relax and if you love diving THE place to be!
