After spending a night in West End, I couldn't wait to see what West Bay had to offer. I had already set everything up with Glen via email so I was excited to get on the water taxi and head across the island. Because I didn't plan, I didn't have a map but right when I got off the water taxi, I went straight to the little hut to ask for directions. It took a little while as the lady was asking around, but after a few minutes, she pointed me in the right direction. I walked about 2 minutes down the incredible white sandy beach and took a left to go through Banana Rama (or something like that). I walked 100 yards down the beach road and there was the charming (but very large) yellow house.
Glen was such a great host. He showed me downstairs to my room (which was VERY large and had a veranda), showed me how the AC worked, how the TV worked, where the towels were, etc. In the main area of the B&B, there is an area for movies, books, beach chairs, snorkel gear ...and the list goes on. Everything you need, right in the house!
Glen even has set up the B&B with computers and wireless internet that are very affordable to any standards - especiallllly on the island, though.
Breakfast is great and he is accommodating in every sense of the word. He knows the island and makes your stay amazing.
He location is GREAT!! Literally 30 second walk to the beach, across the street from a few sub shops, stores, etc. and the most happening bar in West Bay is right down the street as well.
And i cant for get to mention .... the beds were so comfy!! Got great sleep every night!! (*which I can't say for any other bed I stayed at in Honduras!)
I will 100% go back to Roatan and wouldn't stay anywhere but West Bay B&B!
Thanks again, Glen!!
