“Best Place in Roatan”

We were so happy with our accommodations at West Bay B&B. Glen was a terrific host and an even better breakfast chef. Our room was exceptionally clean and quite. After having spent time on the beaches, we were so grateful to have chosen the B&B away from all of the resort noise. Only a block away from the beach this place was a perfect way to start our trip on the Bay Islands.

“Best place to stay in the whole of Roatan”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 January 2012

After spending a night in West End, I couldn't wait to see what West Bay had to offer. I had already set everything up with Glen via email so I was excited to get on the water taxi and head across the island. Because I didn't plan, I didn't have a map but right when I got off the water taxi, I went straight to the little hut to ask for directions. It took a little while as the lady was asking around, but after a few minutes, she pointed me in the right direction. I walked about 2 minutes down the incredible white sandy beach and took a left to go through Banana Rama (or something like that). I walked 100 yards down the beach road and there was the charming (but very large) yellow house.

Glen was such a great host. He showed me downstairs to my room (which was VERY large and had a veranda), showed me how the AC worked, how the TV worked, where the towels were, etc. In the main area of the B&B, there is an area for movies, books, beach chairs, snorkel gear ...and the list goes on. Everything you need, right in the house!

Glen even has set up the B&B with computers and wireless internet that are very affordable to any standards - especiallllly on the island, though.

Breakfast is great and he is accommodating in every sense of the word. He knows the island and makes your stay amazing.

He location is GREAT!! Literally 30 second walk to the beach, across the street from a few sub shops, stores, etc. and the most happening bar in West Bay is right down the street as well.

And i cant for get to mention .... the beds were so comfy!! Got great sleep every night!! (*which I can't say for any other bed I stayed at in Honduras!)

I will 100% go back to Roatan and wouldn't stay anywhere but West Bay B&B!

Thanks again, Glen!!

“Excellent cozy hotel!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 January 2012

Great place to stay and great price! I've stayed in other hotels in front of the beach but sometimes they´re just really messy and careless. West Bay B&B was a good change. The room was very clean, you have a mini fridge in there, it was incredibly quiet at night so I really got a chance to rest at last!....Glen cooks you breakfast which was really nice, he is a great host, my favorite breakfast dish was egg enchiladas (so delicious!) he has free DVDs, DVD player and satellite tv so you can really have fun, the bathroom's really nice and clean, and the bathtub is good for taking relaxing hot water showers, my room had a balcony so I had a view of the West bay mini mall which is right in front...and the beach is just less than 5 minutes away walking...other amenities coffee place in front, sushi restaurant and spa next door, taxis in front...so thanks Glen! Definitely wanna go back right now!

“We felt right at home!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 January 2012

We weren´t planning on staying at Glen´s WestBay B&B, but we ended up spending four nights there due to last minute changes to our reservation at a different location. As soon as we arrived to the B&B, Glen greeted us with his cheerful attitude and Hawaiian shirt and showed us to our cozy room. We had arrived late at night, so he even offered to check us in the following morning during breakfast after a good night´s sleep. Our room was clean, comfortable, decorated with Glen's own artwork, and equipped with a mini-fridge and satellite tv... not that you´ll be needing it in Roatan. The airconditioning worked well and our room and bathroom were cleaned daily. Glen provides beach towels at no extra charge and is willing to help arrange various activities. He helped us set-up zip lining for the following morning and recommended restaurants for New Year´s Eve. He will help you with taxi arrangements to the ferry. We even overheard him helping another couple set-up transportation from Roatan to Ceiba, San Pedro Sula, and Copán. Glen is an awesome breakfast chef! Breakfast was included during our stay and his coffee mix is delicious! The B&B is conveniently located a 2 minute walk from beautiful WestBay beach and across the street from a small convenience mall that includes a deli, coffee shop, and mini-mart. Taxis are always readily available right in front of the B&B.
We are glad that we got relocated to West Bay B&B. Glen runs a great B&B and he definitely made our stay in Roatan much more enjoyable (with a full stomach after breakfast)

“Bed/Breakfast and a great host!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 December 2011

Great place, great location and a great host. We were simply looking for an inexpensive yet clean place to lay our heads when not out on the beach or touring the island. Glen is a wonderful host who has travelled the world, so there are plenty of places and things to talk about! Just a short walk to beautiful West Bay Beach and beachfront restaurants. Scooter rental is right across the street. We loved our two days there! Ed & Gretchen
