“Winter Haven”

We were so pleased to have found this delightful guest house. When we arrived in pouring rain in the dark, Stuart met us with a large umbrella and helped us in with our bags. Julia was also so welcoming and when we went into our room it really was a haven with delightful furnishings and a very comfortable bed. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious and the service so friendly. We were made to feel like a part of the family and felt so comfortable sharing their delightful home for a couple of days. The complimentary chocolate bars in the room and the welsh cakes to take home were especially nice little touches

“Such a lovely place to stay!”

We chose to stay at the Mellieha Guest House after reading all the brilliant reviews and we were not disappointed!

As soon as we arrived Stuart helped us with our bags and Julia treated us to tea and delicious Welsh cakes. Our room was great and very clean, and we even had a sea view from our personal balcony. The choice at breakfast was great and the food was very good. Stuart is an excellent cook!

Getting to Saundersfoot took 10 minutes in the car, and we ate here a few nights. The Mermaid on the Strand is a lovely restaurant overlooking the sea and is well worth visiting. Tenby is a further 10 minutes from Saundersfoot and is a beautiful town with lots of nice little shops and restaurants.

Another highlight of the stay was badgerwatch, where Julia and Stewart let you into their kitchen so you can get up close with the local badger family as they feed outside.

We highly recommend staying at the Mellieha Guest House. The location is great, the rooms are lovely and clean and Julia and Stewart go out of their way to make your stay as good as possible. You won’t be disappointed!

“Fabulous!”

Stayed for the weekend with my siblings and our partners, occupying 3 rooms altogether.
We were greeted on arrival by Stuart and Julia, the owners, and were made to feel immediately welcome.
The guest house itself is immaculately presented. There are spectacular views of the local countryside and the sea.
We were planning on visiting a local restaurant, and Julia kindly offered to book taxi's for us. She shortly returned to say that all the local taxis were booked, but she and Stuart ferried 6 of us to the local restaurant in two cars!! Surely not a service extended to all residents!!?
We had a fabulous breakfast, all cooked to order to our selections chosen the night before.

A fabulous, clean guest house, with very friendly owners. Would recommend without hesitation.

“September Break”

We have just returned home to the Midlands, after spending a fabulous 5 nights at the Mellieha Guest House which is set in beautiful surroundings. Julia and Stuart so very welcoming upon our arrival and throughout our stay. Julia was very informative on places to visit. The garden terrace room we occupied was spotlessly clean with exceptionally good quality bedding and furnishings. Breakfasts cooked to order were delicious. Only 5 minutes walk to the beach. We enjoyed the badger watch with Julia. We will definitely be returning again.
