Just returned after a ten day all inc break. This hotel is well located and elevated views in some directions.
First impressions good even after reading 50/50 reviews, the swimming pool looked nicely lit-up.
Reception very polite (late evening arrival) the room was dated but was of a sea-faring 70s style. The bathroom fine and must have been originally expensive (marble etc) great view from balcony . The air conditioner unit could be adjusted.
The hotel was ones a very stylish place, and floors were marble and woodwork African hardwood. The main bar was half a Greek boat , in dark hardwood varnish. Yes it was dated but in an old fashioned charming way. ( bit like visiting rich elderly shipping tycoon)
Staff throughout we're either polite or charming, but I expect some guests would find frustration with language barrier with some staff. If you were polite they were more than the same.
The hotel is slowly to be updated , which is both good and bad. I think it would be a shame to lose some of the original features- like port hole windows in the games room and the floors. Etc
Food was ok, in a Greek /Italian style but with chips for those who prefer. Basic wine was served by the two waitresses , but if you preferred beer or pop there was a small bar in the restaurant.
For all inclusive guests dining three times a day I expect the choices would repeat themselves , but I felt there was good value - and you could probably eat and drink as much as you wanted.
The all inc drinks were designed to be drunk all day , but you also had a fridge in room and a local supermarket if your needs were greater.
Dassia is quite nice in low season and this hotel represents the value end of the market, and allows you budget for a hire car or quad bike or whatever. A frequent bus service goes to the interesting Corfu town.
I had a nice end os season break and feel tempted to go go back, all inc is a novelty and you can have nice chats with fellow guests or just indulge . Thank you to all the staff for a nice service.
Room Tip: You could get a poor room apparently , but can always enquire at the desk for alternative.
