The AC so noicy we could not sleep, open the window no option since next door is a loud disco with screaming croud until next morning. The whole area depressing, industrial next to the motorway. We did not expect anything else than some sleep before continuing to the airport next morning, even that we did not get!

Stayed here for 5 nights mid September whilst attending the Herbalife Extravaganza in Palau Sant Jordi, Barcelona. My wife and I used this hotel as a base. It is 5-10 minutes walk from Molins de Rei train station where trains run every 30 minutes to Barcelona Sants station, with the last leaving about midnight. Make sure you get a Zone 2 ticket if you are travelling from Barcelona on the train, as Molins de Rei is the first stop in zone 2.

We arrived after 10 pm on the Thursday evening after plane and train to be greeted by a very helpful and polite receptionist. The directions I had asked for the day before via email were spot on. The walk from the station was through a well lit area and along the park.

Room was of a good standard, there are no executive rooms here and the receptionist apologised that I was unable to get a free upgrade as a platinum priority club member, but the room was good. Very spacious, very quiet considering it is on an industrial park, but not that you would know, with a good sized bathroom. The only downside was the carpet had obviously had coffee spilt on it and needed replacing.

Breakfast was included and comrised of the usual continental selection of croissants, rools, bread, ham, cheese, yoghurts and fresh fruit. Breakfast times were a little late for us as we wanted to be in Barcelona by 8 am even on the weekend, but having an early breakfast didn't seem to be a problem.

As it is an Express there are no dining facilites in the evening, but there is a microwave in the reception area and a supermarket next door open until 9 pm apart from Sunday. There are limited bar facilities.

I am unable to comment on the vaue for money as I used my priority club reward points to book the hotel, and as such didn't have to settle an account on checkout.

We are looking to return to Barcelona for another Herbalife event in September 2012, and if there is nothing of value closer to the venue, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again

I was on business so not concerned with sight seeing in Barcelona. The hotel is in an industrial business district in the suburbs. About 25euro taxi from airport. Rooms are clean and well appointed. Normal service as per HI Express. Check in was slow but staff friendly and they can order in Pizza becusue's there's no restaurant.

The rooms are nice, but the AC not working properly and housekeeping team very loud they were fighting at the corridor/hallway.
Breakfast was horrible, staff very rude and not organize.
Otherwise it is okay. But I will never go back and wouldnt recommend this hotel to my friends. Nothing around this place just a dead park.

Reception staff was good especially Sol.
