for a first time stay, it is a little confusing at first with half the building private owners. the reception staff were lovely, welcoming, helpful with directions. i worked out the carpark pretty quickly, with certain parks allocated to quest guests on each floor. some parks you would need to be an expert to get into, but i kept going higher up until i found a park a little easier to get into. the apartment was perfect. clean, roomy, trendy, air con and lamps were on ready for my arrival. the bedroom had a tv, which is a great addition! the bathroom facilities were excellent, with shower over the bath, and it had a washer and dryer. according to the room info, my room was supposed to have a stereo, which was missing, but the tv worked fine, and as i sat out on the balcony most of the time i was there, i didn't feel the need to address the issue with reception. there are options given for inroom breakfast, however i didn't have breakfast. the view from the balcony on the 13th floor was looking directly at the city, and it was lovely in both day and certainly at night. the building is about 2 kms from the cbd, so was quieter than i expected. it was 1 minutes walk to a little iga on st kilda rd that had everything i needed, and also downstairs from the apartments is a coffee shop, and a liquor store with a very good selection of wines. i can highly recommend quest on dorcas, as it was a very enjoyable stay, and i will be choosing to stay there again. :)
