Booked an executive room but not really sure what I got extra for the money as there were no extras that you sometimes get upgrading e.g. no slippers, bath robe, complimentary water etc. also the wifi was £16 and in terms of the room it was small for an upgraded room. That said the room was quite well appointed and the TV was the biggest I have ever had in a hotel room at possibly 40" with lots of channel choice.
The room was quite clean but the bathroom was disgusting with the floor particularly filthy. I ordered a latte to the room and it was freezing, suppose you can expect too much for £6!! Also ordered a room service breakfast with fruit yoghurt (got plain) museli (got special K) also the croissant was freezing cold so wasted another £15.
Sleep quality was not great as from about 0500 the hotel hot water system kicks in and it sounds like the Flying Scotsman is in the room.
Did not try the restaurant or gym/pool. But went in the bar and the staff were friendly as was the receptionist on check in.
With some small changes this could be a good hotel but I will not rush back.
