“Fine hotel to stay in Fredriksberg”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2012

This is primarily a hotel with a conference center, so it doesn't quite have a cosy or family feel to it. Great for business travel.

Location : It is located on Falconer alle , a 3 minute walk from the Fredriksberg metro. This makes it well connected to different parts of the city. There are a lot of cafes and bars on the same road, so plenty of options on the food & drinks front.

Rooms: Very clean rooms, and neat bathroom. Some of the rooms (esp. some of the "smoking" rooms) are very spacious.

Staff and Service : Helpful staff, good service.

The breakfast buffet is an excellent spread.

Overall rating : Very good!

“Great stay at a great hotel, excellent food!”

What can I say, friendly staff, great food and easy to find. I stayed here for 4 days in Jan, there is a great Italian called La Vitta e Bella just down the road on the left (the food here is also excellent - possibly the best Italian I have had). There is a 711 next door (on left as you come out) which is great if you need something you have forgotten. I was cycling around Copenhagen on this trip and it was really easy to get around this way, I could lock my bike up outside the hotel as there is a bike rack. The hotel itself is large with conference facilities and a gym. The gym is around the corner (a Dainish chain dkfitness. It has everything you need here including free tea and coffee if you fancy it being a resident of the hotel, there is no charge for the gym facilities. The hotel food was very nice and the service was pretty good and always friendly. You can also grab a coffee “on the go” in the morning just by the elevators. My room was dated compared to most Radissons I have stayed in, mainly the bathroom (only a shower), that said, it was clean and the shower was nice and powerful. Overall a very pleasant stay.

Room Tip: Rear rooms had a nice view of the sunset.

“A bit dated, but good breakfast, clean rooms, helpful staff.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 January 2012

This large hotel is not in the centre of Copenhagen, but right by the metro and thus only a 7 minute ride away. It's fundamentally a conference hotel, so somewhat soulless, but has an excellent breakfast buffet, helpful staff, and very large rooms - at least on the top floors. There are good shopping facilities right by the hotel, and a decent selection of restaurants offering various cuisines. It's not the height of modern chic, but is efficient, user friendly, and has a spacious lobby. Altogether a pretty decent choice.

Room Tip: Top floors seems to have largest rooms - even numbered rooms are at the back of the hotel, away from...

“A good place to stay visiting Copenhagen”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 January 2012

The hotel is situated in Fredriksberg, a quit and peaceful area in Copenhagen. A METRO take you from the airport and city centre. The stop is nearby the hotel. The hotel is also within walking distance from the city centre. We have stayed at the hotel several times when visiting Copenhagen, and I must say: we enjoy our stay in Fredriksberg and at this first class hotel.
The staff is service-minded and helpful, the breakfast, bar and restaurant is excellent. The room is clean, bed is good and so is the overall service. I recommend this hotel to all that wish to stay in a quit area nearby the city centre.

Room Tip: Higher floors have a wonderful view over Copenhagen

“Worn rooms in decent location but with very good breakfast”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 December 2011

I stayed one night at the Radisson Blu Falconer in December 2011. The location is pretty good, a few minutes walk from Frederiksberg metro station - and the metro runs from the airport, a 20 minute metro ride.

The hotel is also a conference center but the evening I arrived there appeared to be very little going on at the hotel. There was actually no one at all at the front desk when I arrived - after a while a guy showed up from one of the back rooms. The check-in process was quick so no complaints.

I had a room fairly high up in the building. The view was however not anything special, facing a residential building. I was very disappointed when getting to the room. It felt like it was renovated 20 years ago and when staying at a Radisson hotel I expect some decent design in the room. This felt like I was staying in a shabby hotel somewhere around the Mediterranean (what is up with the rattan chairs?).

The room was fairly small, bed was comfortable but did not like the mirrors around it. The TV was very small and old and the remote barely functioned (some buttons were just not working). No iron and ironing board in the room (I am sure that one can ask for it but still do not like the fact that I need to call and ask for it). Free Internet was however available and working fine.

Bathroom was also pretty bad, small shower with very uneven temperature (fluctuating from cold to hot). I also do stay at other Radisson/Rezidor hotels fairly frequently and the brand of shampoo etc. was the same here but they went for the cheap option of combined shampoo and shower gel. Yet another example that this is probably one of their 'budget' Radisson hotels.

So far I had not experienced many positive things about the hotel and it was heading for a lower rating but what saved it was the breakfast. Very nice and fresh - had good smoothies, good selection of hot food (eggs, several sausages, bacon, meatballs etc) and also very fresh selection of cold food. Good and very friendly service from the staff working there as well. This saves the hotel and would perhaps make me consider it as an option for next time.
