Wife and I stayed in a week in June/July 2011 with 10yo boy, 14yo girl, and 16yo girl. Rendezvous-ed with other family members (additional 4 person family - 2 adults, 2 boys - 4yo and 6yo). Flew in from Athens (some of my family prone to sea-sickness, and - as a backpacker - I remember a nightmare ferry voyage to Santorini some 20+ years earlier), good value flights - and a good way to see the island scenery from the air on the approx 30-40min flight. Agios Prokopios Hotel hosts were great, will bend over backwards to ensure your stay is most pleasant - we keep to ourselves generally, but we noted that even the "high maintenance" travellers in residence for the week were shown very generous amounts of patience/service. Hotel was 5 mins walking to main eating places - takeaway gyros for 2 euros each from beachside restaurant were value, and our usual lunchtime meal after a morning swim ! Most pleasure is just hanging out by the pool with kids in the afternoon - various pool toys provided. Rabbit pens and donkey down the back of the hotel - a novelty for kids also. Tennis court OK but balls easily lost if mis-hit into brush. Free Internet (2 terminals) helped us organise our ongoing journey details, and inland daytrip agenda (although hosts know where to send you too !). Hosts organised mini-van for our party of 9 to go touring inland one day - reasonable price, so a welcome service. Supermarket up the road good for brekky items (if you don't want the brekky every day). Aquafun Water Park (walking distance from hotel for our happy crew) was also a great day out - 3 slides, a couple of pools, can even grab snack/lunch/drinks on site - we had virtually the run of the park for the day we were there, and kids wanted to go back again ! Bus to Naxos Town is simple to catch and easy to buy tickets from the store where the bus stops at - bus back from Naxos Town is also very easy. We also did a "long" day trip to Delos and onto Mykonos also (returning via a port stop in Paros) - fortunately seas were calm ! Great holiday, low key destination, low stress - highly recommended.
