My partner and I stayed at the Princess of Mykonos at the end of August. On arrival we were both greeted by Poppy who provided us with lots of useful information about the island and getting around (bus stops, beaches etc). We were then shown to our room, no. 405, which was beautiful and felt like a lot of thought went into making it feel just right. We were also provided with a voucher giving us money of a meal in the hotel restaurant on the first night, and I recommend you take the opportunity as the food is fantastic and the service very attentive.
The hotel is a short walk away from the bus stop which runs half hourly during the day time and later runs hourly up until 02:00. If you miss the last bus, I'd advise against walking as we did one night and wished we had just got a taxi.
The shutters one the windows and patio doors provide real functional character keeping the room cool during the day while your away, and keep the light out should you want to sleep later in the morning.
The breakfast was very tasty with a choice of pastries, breads, cold meats, sausages, streaky bacon, egg, and fresh vegetables. Drinks include the usual coffee, tea and orange juice but thankfully you can pour the orange juice into a glass which holds more than one sip of liquid!
If you wish to stay by the pool one day, loungers are easy to come by, and beach towels are available from the pool bar which can be used either for the loungers or taken with you to beaches around the island.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to visit Mykonos, the staff are so pleasant, Poppy, Maria and everyone else will ensure you have a great time!
