“Just as good as it was years ago...”

The apartment is all you need for a simple getaway holiday. The pools and facilities are great along with the friendly staff. Great thing is, if you want to visit the town, restaurants or shops - they are not far at all. It's just a short walk and you also have a bus stop right outside the hotel which takes you anywhere you want to go along with running perfectly on time!

“Lovely peaceful holiday 1/12/11”

We booked a week at this hotel after reading reviews and we were not disappointed! Hotel was in a lovely location, quiet and unspoilt village with nice fish restaurants. The hotel was immaculately clean and friendly staff. We were self catering and the apartment was very well equiped, not that we ate in, apart from the much missed kettle! The beds very very comfortable and the maid service was every day except a Friday & Sunday. We had a side sea view over looking the village and a lovely spacious balcony which was a treat to sit and have a lovely glass of wine in the evening! We loved the little Tapas restaurant La Callega in the village on the waters edge, the food was loveley and the wine excellent and very reasonably priced. We are definitely returning to this hotel in the future! Best beach is Del Duque and best restaurant is Gran Reserva in Fanabe.

“Lovely Holiday - Excellent value for money”

We booked a week at this hotel for a family of 4 over October half term. Lovely location in a very pretty fishing village and totally unspoilt resort. The hotel was very clean and our room was lovely and spacious. Beds really comfortable and as we went 1/2 board we didn't have to use the facilities in the apartment. We had a lovely sea view (the room did not have air con but we left our balcony door opened which was fine)

The food is lovely although I think I would have burst if I had been there for 2 weeks. Everything was fresh and it never seemed to run out. Being English it was apparent this hotel catered mainly for other Europeans but that was fine with us. Didn't really stay in the hotel in the evening as we liked to take a walk along the promenade to the busier places (Del Duque - 15 min walk) - Tip would recommend this beach as the best along that coast - but be careful with little ones as the waves can be big!

Overall it was a big hit with the family and would recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Have a sea view room as the views are amazing

“a good week”

its a good value for money aparthotel, very basic, but has all you need, good pool area, didnt seem to get too busy, rooms have kettle and toaster, small kitchen area, our room was on the ground floor, wasnt a lot of noise from outside, but we backed onto the rear of the property, we were room only, but the breakfast looked ok to be fair, not many english staying when we were there, there is a bus stop outside the hotel, buses seemed to be every 15 mins into playa, and back again, one small gripe would be that the only tv channels in english was sky news and bbc world, but as i say its only a minor problem.......for what you pay its good value,if you want top notch then pay top notch prices....would i stay here again ? i sure would !!

Room Tip: rooms on the front could be a bit noisy i would think, there is a bar below some of the rooms

“Excellent Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 November 2011

The hotel - on arrival easy booking in process, safe hire is 3 euro a day plus a refundable deposit of 10 euros, we were given a one bedroom apartment on the third floor over looking the mountains, which I have to say was lovely and peaceful after a night out, the view was great. The room was spotlessly clean, a nice change, the furnishings are very dated but I'd rather have old fashioned and clean than modern and dirty. It obviously is for 3 people as there was 3 of everything!
Cleaning is everyday except Friday and Sunday, some maids cleaned more thoroughly than others. We left out the do not disturb sign one day after a late night out, and missed the maid, we told reception and they had it cleaned - excellent.
With the cleaners was a maintanence man and there was always some cleaning and servicing being done, again excellent.
The sports bar was bright and modern and there were 4 pool tables. The drinks however were pricey, they ran out of Bacardi and Rum and this took 3 days to stock, a shame because we went to drink elsewhere. If you want a spirit with a mixer, order them seperately it's the same for a shot of pepsi/lemonade etc as it is for a whole glass.
The pool area has 3 pools interlinked, the kiddie pool was heated 0.35 metres deep, the pool to the left starts at 1.0 metre but the steps take you in to about 1.4 and it was freezing, the pool to the right was about 1.75 and definately for swimmers, again freezing, although the weather was brilliant it needed a little heat, we thought the pool was heated from November to March but this appears not to be the case. It was however well kept and very clean. The regular life guard so helpful and always doing something, his replacement on the Monday for one day was the complete opposite, barely able to drag himself from the phone to answer a question. Plenty of sun beds, locked away overnight, no reserving, there is a basket for the life guard to put removed towels into, good to see this, a definite plus point.
The pool bar needed some pazazz, the facilities are there to make it lively and inviting, music, drinks on display etc would be great and definitely encourage more drinking and activity. One of the barmen was quite surly and unhappy when we didn't leave a few cents change as a tip, the rest were friendly and helpful. The bar food was very good and recommend the fish fillet or the omlette.
On floor 3 is a jacuzzi overlooking the sea, lovely to watch the sun go down on the sea from there.
Surrounding areas, well the sea is opposite, and there is a bench to sit and take in the view, the beach is a short walk. There is a taxi rank outside plus the bus stop.

Having stayed in Tenerife many times, it was nice to stay somewhere that wasn't so hilly. There is a supermarket next door, but it was pricey, and a couple of bars/cafes, the one nearest the hotel we found to be poor value for money with cold, but over cooked food.
If you go out of the main entrance and turn right, go down the first road on the left and follow it round, there is a walkway/promenade with restaurants and cafes, if you keep following the path even though it looks as if it goes nowhere you come to a cafe called Bar Terraza cheap drinks and ice cold, food looked good too, service very polite but a little slow. There is also another supermarket, along with restaurants.
Cabs into Playa Fanabe are about 5 euros each way, definitely go into town and eat at Gran Reserva, the Hong Kong Garden Palace and have monkfish at the Corjon Rojo.
Night time entertainment and karaoke at the Moonlight Bar and News Cafe.
Would recommend this hotel, it was peaceful, clean, staff were lovely, do include taxi fares into your budget as we did, and then night trips into town do not seem so bad.

Room Tip: A sea view could be noisy, and would say floor one or above, there are lifts.
