Turned up at Auberge Toubkal on the outskirts of Taliouine (Tazenakht side) on the recommendation of the carpet seller in the Co-op in Tazenakht. With tent, motor home spaces and ensuite rooms it caters for pretty much everyone.
Our room was set up functionally, very clean and nicely painted. There's a swimming pool and the mountain views of the sunset were great taken in from the roof terrace with the ubiquitous mint tea.
This was the only place we stayed where the hot water was consistent thanks to the little tank in the bathroom, and the shower even had a curtain so we didn't have to hide the loo roll before we showered.
Staff were friendly, and spoke English which made life a little easier for us. The set menu for dinner was tasty and the town itself was a gem - 19MAD for coffee and about half a dozen pastries for our breakfast the next morning.
