“We picked well!”

Situated, perfectly, between Inverness, the Isle of Skye, and Fort William, and only about six miles west of Loch Ness, we feel we found a very nice little B&B.
It is clean, quiet, and comfortable. As some of the other review have noted, hosts Angela and Mark, did a great job making us feel welcome. They assisted, cheerfully, with all our requests.
Mark is the chef, and he does a great job! We left, each morning, happy and full.
Should we go that way, again, we will make it a point to stay with Angela and Mark.

“Very friendly and helpful”

We had a really pleasant time at Angela and Mark`s place. They even picked us up from the bus stop since we were walking and had no car. The house looks great from the outside and inside. Breakfast was well made and they have a great variety of books and board games. We even played Dread pirate with them :-) Definitely an asset to the region. Hope to come back again.

“Lovely place to stay”

I booked this for a few days away for my wife's birthday and we weren't disappointed. It's well located to go west to the Isle of Skye or east to the Cairngorns or of course just stay local and explore around Loch Ness.

We stayed in the Isle of Skye room which was very spacious and comfortable. Although the bathroom was not ensuite it was private, very well appointed and and very spacious again.

The refurb of the house has been stylish and thoughtful and breakfast was top notch.

Highly recommended.

PS, the best restaurant we found locally was Abstract at the Glenmoriston Town House Hotel in Inverness. It was exceptional. It's a 45 minute drive but that's 'local' in the Highlands!

“Great wee place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 July 2007

Lovely B&B on the road to Skye. Angela and Mark were very friendly and have produced a very special place to stay. The breakfast wasgreat and the home made smoothie knocks "commercial" competition into a cocked hat :)

“You can't help but relax here...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 May 2007

My partner and I stayed here for one night during Easter 2007. As part of a six day road trip through Scotland, staying at Glenmoriston Manse Guest House was a great way to relax in the middle of nowhere (almost in the middle of Scotland, between Fort William and Inverness). Owners Angela and Mark made us feel very welcome, offering tea and biscuits on arrival and were eager to offer insight into the history of the house, the area etc, yet without being too imposing. They are very passionate about the area and offered good suggestions as to where to go and what to see; Eilean Donan Castle, Loch Ness, Castle Urquhart, whisky distilleries, etc...

Plenty of books are available to read, including information on the local area. It's a great place to relax on the leather sofa, or in front of the open fire. If you don't feel like reading, just sit and steer out the window at the deer, mountains, river, farmland, and various little furry animals going about their business.

Nearby, we visited picturesque Fort Augustus and tried one of the local restaurants recommended by the owners.

Being a new B&B, the rooms are nice, clean and comfortable. Towels are fluffy and fresh. Tea and coffee making facilities are provided in the room, along with a TV, etc. They even provided Easter eggs in our room!

Breakfast was a treat. We had the full Scotish cooked breakfast, perfectly done. The fruit smoothies are so good, they would give Innocent a run for their money!

All in all, not a bad word to say. I wish Angela and Mark success for their new found venture and recommend staying at Glenmoriston Manse Guest House if ever in the area.
