“Relaxing holiday”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2012

We have just returned on 7th feb from two week holiday. The holiday overall was good. Hotel really nice lovely big rooms although if you struggle with stairs ask for ground floor room as no hand rails on staircase and no lifts to rooms. Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful as was the Thomson rep Hyacinth. The only thing to have a little moan about would be the service at the bars. There is a big thing about tips so if you have money in your hand you will get served no problem but if you're not flashing the cash you may well have a long wait for your drink.
You can get a bit stir crazy as there is nothing round about the complex and the taxis are quite expensive but there is always something happening around the place. The beaches are man made so don't expect beautiful Caribbean sands but they are kept clean and you have a choice and for us was preferable to go to the beach to get a little breeze and be away from the noise around the pool,
The food we thought was very good and the choice is really good. The Indian restaurant was our favourite.
Don't take Jamaican dollars. Us dollars are used in the complex and when you go out. We took Jamaican dollars and everything was priced up Usd and they even had to work it out how much in their own currency. The casino will only accept Usd and we couldn't change any money in the hotel for Usd only Jamican.
Hope this is of some help.

Room Tip: Some of the rooms are based around the pool so may be quite noisy. Avoid the high rooms if you stru...

“second visit LOVE THIS PLACE”

I believe I will start this time with...the palladium dancers were great last year, but this year there was a very marked improvement Jessie has literally stolen a piece of my heart, the groundskeepers, villa maids, maintenance crew, lifegaurds ect...are nothing less than fabulous people. the food is tremendous, there is plenty of room for morning and afternoon walks and spend a little time conversing with the extensive staff all over the complex. and as I told everyone first year 5 days not enough, second year 9 days not enough, third year? 30 days I believe so. see you next year Grand palladium lady Hamilton...that is if I can wait that long!

“Second time here would stay again”

The grounds are lovely and well maintained. The food was great - buffet lots of fresh wonderful food something for everyone. The room was bright had ground floor balcony, bathroom could use a fresh paint job, but all in all was clean. Last time stayed on the Lady Hamilton side seems to be newer. Beautiful spot love the Sunset beach. Love the expanse of the site, gives you lots of space to walk.

“Great Place!! We are going Back!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

This was our first time in Jamaica and let me tell you this is the place to go!!
We enjoyed every moment of it's beauty!!I
* Food was amazing!! go to Bubba's grill, creole, Mexican, Asian, Italian, but get there around 5:30-6:00 pm, no reservations and we got in every time with no wait!!
* Room was wonderful.. maids were great!! clean every time, wash clothes, towels no worries!! We were in villa 1536. Great view!!
* Pool was huge ,lots of people but didn't feel full, a little wait at pool side bar but you're in Jamaica what's the hurry! Ask for the bartender's specialty all good!!
*People are pleasant but we as tourists need to be more polite!! There are some people who need to relax and be nice. I found some tourists offensive on how they speak to the staff, Be nice and they will be more obliging to help you with making your stay a pleasant one.
* Beaches were unique. I went snorkeling right off the beach which i found amazing!! bring $25.00 deposit and you get it back when you return the snorkel. It's not the pristine beaches of Punta Cana but we also did not get harassed with purchasing items either which was nice.
* Bring a bubba or insulated cup ,well worth the investment..plus less trips to the bar.
* We went to YS falls, Appleton rum tour, and Rick's Cafe, shopping and Black River with Chukka tours which is located in the Jamaica side. cost us $244 US for both to go. thought it was a good deal. You really get to see Jamaica and they give you a bit of heritage, ethnicity, language and culture lesson on the way. Thanks Wanicia!! (tour guide)
* Wear high sunscreen the first few days!! sun is really hot and you will burn ,no fun!! We wore 45 the first day,and 15 and 4 for the rest.
* Tip the Staff!! We gave $5 for maid daily,5-10 for waiters and $5 to the amazing bartenders!! They work very hard and will remember you. They are thankful for it too. I found no one looking for tips . The staff are amazing!!
* Beautiful grounds!! everything was lovely! staff always saying hi!!
* Infinity bar lots of fun!! Went to casino for 1 hour and played slots, went to discotheque, sports bar and also spent time at all the pools, every one is different so check them all out. they all have something to offer.
* lots of weddings going on - everyone seemed very happy and cool wedding photo ops.
* Everyone we spoke to enjoyed their trip, some people are just complainers with nothing else to do. I bet they are fun in their towns too. Staff there probably shy away from them too.
All I would say is enjoy yourself,be happy you are not working, making meals and enjoy what Jamaica has to offer you.
My advise is join Palladiumaddict.net and check out the menus, pics, comments and see for yourself.
We loved it and want to go back!!
Thank you Demitris for a wonderful holiday, anniversary and memories we will never forget!!

“Don't believe the bad reviews!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

My wife and I, our two children (g13 b11) and my parents were there last week. We had read reviews and made sure we checked out what people have said. I can honestly say that I see the cup as half full and many others must see it differently. The resort is big and the Jamaica side is half and the Lady Hamilton side is the other half. We stayed in 1235 and 1236, top floor ocean view rooms. The safe was never broken into and our policy is check safe as last thing you do when we leave the room.
I read a lot about the food at this place. I have been to many AI's and this place had the best food hands down. I read about people criticizing the steakhouse, yet it was the busiest restaurant there!!! It was awesome!! The beaches were great- there are 3 nice ones and a couple of rocky ones. The drinks were great. The casino was fun, my mom was in there winning so I put 10$ in a video poker machine and won 350$!!
So, this place has a lot of walking, but the cart guys will give you a ride if you need it. The only complaint I would have is this-- the Las Brezes beach bar- I would tip everytime and if people were there before me, I would tell the bartender to serve them first. But, there were people from other countries that thought they were special and would walk up to the bar, regardless of how many other people were there, and would shout out what they wanted, and the bartenders would serve them--wth?

Room Tip: Look at the map!!
