I'm not sure if the other hotel options in town are any better given the cost. The rooms were fine, if old and worn down. Definetly need to repaint the rooms at a minimum. The biggest problem was that we were in a room on the top floor with many spiders and which left me with multiple bits in the morning.

The hotel is a good middle ground between a higher end resort type hotel and a guesthouse. Prices are roughly 850-1000 baht for a solo traveler or couple and includes a complimentary breakfast. The hotel itself is situated right on the Salawin River (most rooms will have a river view), and is within walking distance of the bus station, a laundromat, and has wifi (for a small fee) in every room. Rooms are simple and clean, have ac, a fridge, warm water, and satellite tv and the wooden floors add a nice, although creaky touch. Recommended if you have a not too tight budget.

This is by far the best option in the sleepy town of Mae sariang. With spacious balconies overlooking the Yuam river it really is in a pleasant location. Clean rooms with nice lighting & wooden floors. 1500bt a night wasn't bad, a swimming pool would have been nice though. Decent if unspectacular breakfast. Efficient check in & friendly staff, no probs with this hotel at all.

This place was pretty dumpy, but it was the nicest place in town and only cost $30 US. We only stayed 1 night so it served the purpose, The area is beautiful and we had a great trip driving the Mae Hong Son loop. I highly recommend it. We loved this part of the country. No tourists and amazing scenery, waterfalls, Gold Buddha on the hill. Really col.
