Took advantage of their offer to make a 2 day stay into 3 & had a wonderful time. We have stayed in cheaper small hotels, but not in one that is such a sheer delight. The room was spotless & comfortable, the food outstanding, & the service friendly & unobtrusive. The front desk, managers, waiters & waitresses, house maids were excellent. My wife loved the cottage look of the hotel, & the lounge, & came away feeling refreshed & relaxed. Some items on the dinner menu didn't appeal, but by adding the choice of a second menu, we did find a good range - & all our meals were excellent. We took advantage of their substantial breakfasts & found that we did not need to think about lunch. I choose this hotel as I thought it might be somewher special to celebrate a birthday & that is how it worked out.

Stayed one night whilst on business and couldn't fault it. From the offer of a complimentary glass of wine on arrival to the free newspaper in the morning. The discreet but attentive service, great food and really comfortable room.
I would suggest it is more suited to the more mature guest than couples with kids but if you want a quiet quality stay in a beautiful location the I would recommend the Millstream.

Last week we headed off to Bosham for a Millstream 2 day "Hibernation" break. We have visited the Millstream many times before and are always amazed by the consistently high standard of food and friendly service.

This time we were a bit doubtful as part of the dining room was out of action due to building works, something the hotel had already told us about. We needn't have worried. The dining room had temporarily been extended into part of the lounge and was as welcoming and comfortable as ever. There was no sign of any disruption.

The food was superb and, of course, we had to have the amazing double-baked cheese souffle. On both nights the food was inventive and varied with the chicken and lentil dish worth a special mention. Puddings were delicious too. The Millstream has a very clever menu which allows you to choose some of the starters as mains and also uses a "star" system to show which dishes will still be available the next night and which will change. This means that if you're spoilt for choice you can plan ahead to the next evening so you don't miss any of your favourites. Although we were still full from the night before the breakfast was a delight and the fried bread a must.

As always we felt relaxed, rested and well fed - just what you need for a winter break. Antony Wallace and his team looked after us extrremely well. Highly recommended.

My husband and I had a wonderfully relaxing 4 night stay in this delightful hotel; a quiet and romantic break away from our 3 sons. The restaurant is what makes the place so special; delicious breakfasts and imaginative, excellent dinners, with some nice variety on the menu. The food presentation is absolutely superb - such attention to detail. All the hotel staff are friendly and helpful, and the restaurant staff are particularly proffessional. The decor is very traditional (rather old fashioned), but that seems to add to it's charm, and probably appeals to most of their customers, who during our stay were quite elderly. Our room was pleasant and comfortable though rather small, but we could have upgraded for a supplement. Bosham is really lovely, and the hotel is situated in a pretty road, a few minutes walk from the water's edge, in this quiet, historical village. We were only 5 minutes drive from Chichester's centre, which is a very nice city, and 10 minutes from the marina. The Millstream is perfect for a short break.
