I am having hard time to describe this hotel I actually do not understand why it exists at all close to the beautiful little village Primosten.
The hotel complex consists of several square shaped buildings lined up at the seaside. However, the very last building is only a concrete sceleton, deserted as if the owner suddenly ran out of money. It is ideally situated on a peninsular and surrounded by pebble beach and stunning sea. Watersports and sunloungers available for a fee.
We did not book through an agency or tour operator. For the money we paid it was a rip off.
Room:
We got a room in the updated part. Two doublebeds in two separate rooms. Rooms and bathroom nice and clean put furnished like a 3-star hotel. For example one chair for four persons. French balcony but there were other rooms with proper balconies.
Beach towels charged 15kunas per day per person! Seemed like standard in Croatia.
Aircon acceptable but during hot times the aircon was not efficient enough.
Pool:
Interesting. Half indoors and very hot. And it was 35degrees outside! Felt outdated and totally meningless.
Food:
Food ok but a terrible ambience. It felt like shortage of staff and no control what so ever if you were allowed to eat or not. Most of the guests, mainly French guests, were all inclusive. The rest had halfboard.
We decided to eat out the last day or you would miss out beautiful Primosten.
Fresh food but mostly cooked veggies and one day even leftovers from the beachbar selling greek salad. Shortage of fresh veggies. Tasteless sweets for dessert.
Could notimagine eating the same food for 1 to 2 weeks.
Breakfast ok for a 3 star standard compare to western standards.
Staff:
Friendly staff in reception. Have no idea about animators etc. Kids club mainly French.
Guests:
From countries close to Croatia and the hotel also seemed to cater for all inclusive groups from France.
Maybe the other guests had better deals than us but the price the hotel mentions and the prices on booking.com are in high season definitely a waste of money.
After three nights we checked out and moved in to an apartment next door to the hotel. Half price and much better!
If you must stay here get a room in the better part with a balcony and bargain hard. There are lots of nice restaurants around Primosten do not get stuck in the hotel. There are also a lot of privat accomodation/apartmani available.
