This is a German-run resort and most of the guests are from Germany, Austria and Switzerland. This was not a problem as all the staff are friendly and, mostly, English Speaking. We were made very welcome by the Staff and all other guests who, I think, found us a bit of a novelty.
The ambiance, location, facilities and cleanliness were fabulous. Bedrooms were a bit basic, but comfortable, clean and well-located. We'd advise that you always pay for a Sea-view room although the Gardens are well maintained and interesting.
Food was Buffet-Style, with freshly cooked food at a number of different stations and a bewildering amount of choice. Evening meals were themed and often associated with entertainment, on stage or even a beach party (in December!). The rate is on an all-inclusive basis, and if you wanted you could eat (and drink) in different areas all day!
The beach is 'to-die-for' and the weather for us was wonderful especially as it was only two weeks before Christmas.
All the staff do their utmost to make sure that all guests enjoy themselves 24/7 but not in an intrusive way. They arrange daily sporting / entertainment events. The children's club was especially well run. UK Tour companies really have a lot to learn.
We were sent by Sunsail - this is not really a sailing resort - There are Hobycats and windsurfers, but not the usual variety of Sunsail craft and no yachts - but it is catering for a different market and if sailing is essential to your holiday you might be a bit disappointed.
Overall a most enjoyable week.
