“Beautiful pool landscape, the children loved it, but long queues for coffee..”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 January 2012

We stayed here for a week in December, off-season, when they have special childrens weeks, catering to small children in various groups 1-2 years old as well as the Roby Minis 3-4 year olds and the Roby Maxis 5-7 year olds. My children were in the Mini and Maxi groups and they loved it! My daughter even cried when I came to collect her as she had so much fun with the well-trained staff, doing various activities and going on treasure hunts or practicing for the childrens show. The children could be dropped off from 9 am and could spend all day in the Roby Childrens Club or could be collected to spend time with mummy and daddy flexibly throughout the day. Around 8-9 pm the day ended for the little ones with Roby the seal singing the Roby song. I loved the concept, although I am not usually a person who likes club holidays. However, this Robinson Club was of such a high standard and very flexible, I have sworn to return again soon. I loved doing fitness classes, working in the artroom when it got too windy or sunbathing on the deck, while my husband enjoyed catamaran sailing. The club is mainly German speaking, but the staff do speak English. The food was good, but it was buffet food. There were a couple of restaurants where the food was served, but these had to be booked separately (and were not included in the price). I loved going to "das Edel". The food was exquisite and we went twice during the week we were there.
When we stayed at the club, it was approximately half full, but there were still long queues and even brawls at the coffee machines - my husband almost got into a fight for bringing me a cup of coffee (as well as getting himself a cup) after waiting in the queue for 20 minutes - and this also happened to others. Even at the adult pool and sun deck, there were no sun loungers available... although many had been "reserved" with towels. Therefore, I can't imagine what it must be like during peak season. (Friends of mine stayed at Robinson Esquinzo Playa during peak season and were horrified to hear we had booked the holiday - but we had a much better experience than they did).
My children loved it so much that I am certain we will be returning (but only at times when the club is not too full!)

“Try booking !”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 December 2011

Two years ago I was in Jandia and called into Robson Club to enquire about booking a holiday for a month , to my horror I was told they only cater for German guests and did not accept bookings from English holiday makers . SO I'm unable to give a review . My family are German / English / Spanish mix so I was both embarassed and disappointed.

“Excellent value - above average”

This is a German-run resort and most of the guests are from Germany, Austria and Switzerland. This was not a problem as all the staff are friendly and, mostly, English Speaking. We were made very welcome by the Staff and all other guests who, I think, found us a bit of a novelty.
The ambiance, location, facilities and cleanliness were fabulous. Bedrooms were a bit basic, but comfortable, clean and well-located. We'd advise that you always pay for a Sea-view room although the Gardens are well maintained and interesting.
Food was Buffet-Style, with freshly cooked food at a number of different stations and a bewildering amount of choice. Evening meals were themed and often associated with entertainment, on stage or even a beach party (in December!). The rate is on an all-inclusive basis, and if you wanted you could eat (and drink) in different areas all day!
The beach is 'to-die-for' and the weather for us was wonderful especially as it was only two weeks before Christmas.
All the staff do their utmost to make sure that all guests enjoy themselves 24/7 but not in an intrusive way. They arrange daily sporting / entertainment events. The children's club was especially well run. UK Tour companies really have a lot to learn.
We were sent by Sunsail - this is not really a sailing resort - There are Hobycats and windsurfers, but not the usual variety of Sunsail craft and no yachts - but it is catering for a different market and if sailing is essential to your holiday you might be a bit disappointed.
Overall a most enjoyable week.

“Excellent and well looked after”

I was lucky enough to stay at Club Esquinzo Playa for a few days as part of a business trip. Although it seemed we were the only English people in resort this didnt cause any problems as most of the staff speak English and the German and Dutch guests were very friendly. The facitilies were amazing especially the Art Rooms (Both Adults and Childrens). The allinclusive offering is excellent with plenty of food up fro grabs and the drinks were all branded unlike some of the allinclusive hotels i have stay at before. The entertainment was good although the speaking parts are in German however all the music is English so you can still enjoy the show. The Airport is only 1 hour away and its all one road to get there so the hotel is really easy to get to.

I would definatly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to visit Fueteventura.

“our 4th trip - and we will come back”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 May 2008

This was our 4th trip to the Robinson - so we knew what to expect. We are a Danish / German family with 3 small kids (6,4,1). if one has been before to Robinson family clubs you know the "daily routine".

Our views are:

Kids club
the newly renovated kids club and the Kids Art center is super. The staff is very professional (better than what we met at other Club Med, Alidana or other Robinsons). They recognize all 3 kids with their names from the last time and even had still pictures of them! Your kids best should be German or Durch speaking to get the most out of it.

Rooms
After it was often announced the rooms are finally renovated - it is not super 5 * - but we spend very little time in the room - We always have a family room (2 bedrooms) and that works very well

Sports
We like the fitness courses and fitness center offered - never joined the other activities

Food
If you like buffet it is ok - we always try to get a table for dinner in the a la carte restaurant - simply better service. The buffet is probably better than what you find in many hotels - but not the level if you are used to Michelin star restaurants. As we do not live in Germany we very much enjoy the German sausages, brezeln, ...

Location
The club is nicely kept and has nice gardens - the way to the beach is (especially with small kids and a stroller) very long. the beach itself though is beautiful.

Shows
Someone told me the shows are the best of all clubs and the 1st time we visited we also really like them - but over time you wear out - our kids are still high on them

All inclusive
This offer is very nice - especially if you travel with kids. We never saw anybody exploiting it ... good level of guests.

Robins
The club has many long-time staff who are very professional and good. recently the director changed and it seems some are following the old director to new club locations. Overall very good - and defnitely child friendly.

Hope this is helpful
