We stayed at the Jandia Mar from 7th January for 2 weeks, this was our 3rd time staying here, our previous visits were in 2005 and 2006. Although we saw a few changes this time, which we put down to the current economic crisis, the Barcelo Jandia Mar still provides a great service. The staff are very helpful and friendly, everywhere from our rooms to communial areas are kept clean and tidy.Mozzies love me and we did have a couple in our room, but within an hour of reporting it to reception we had a can of spray delivered to our room. We have never had this problem before I think it may have been down to us being on the ground floor in block 4, which had alot of greenary outside our terrace.
We used the spa this visit, partly due to the fact that our previous visits were in August, so we used the outdoor pools on these occasions, so indoor pool was a bonus this time round. There is also a jacuzzi and sauna which are all free to use in your all inclusive package. We splashed out on a massage each too, which was amazing and very good value for the money.I have read reports of cold meals???? Did not come across this ourselves, but then I do eat alot of salads, although I accompany this with some kind of fish or meat and I never had any problems. One thing my husband and I always like to do at least once while we are on holiday and that is to experience one of the local fish restaurants and seeing that it was in fact our 5th visit to the resort of Jandia we have our favourite and that is in Morrel Jable, which is a small fishing village attached to Jandia, a 3 Euro taxi ride or a nice stroll along the beautiful beach or along the paved promenade. So overall we loved our holiday, yes if you really look hard you may find a bit of paint work that could do with touching up or an odd loose tile in the loo, but you are on holiday, relax and enjoy the good things its all over far too quickly.
