“It was okay... not great... but okay”
The hotel seems a bit out of the way, it’s in a quiet residential area but it has good transport links. It takes just over hour (on the train) to get into the centre of Paris, so if you don't like travelling much, it may be better to say closer to town.
The hotel is very close to Disneyland Paris (2-3 stops) so it may be ideal for the family if Disneyland is the core part of the holiday. Upon arriving at the hotel we were told that check in was 4pm (which we found quite late), I must say that though the receptionist held our bags for us she didn't seem very pleased to do it and any questions asked seemed a bit to much bother for her. We had arrived about 4 hours before checking in, so really our only option was to go back into town as there is not much to do in the surrounding area... not good if like us you had a morning journey and planned on taking a nap to recuperate!
The room was big, open plan with a small kitchen and living area as well as a bedroom. the room could have easily fit 4 people as the living area had sofa bed. Nothing amazing but the bathroom was modern and clean.... towels were not collected though so old ones did linger for our whole stay.
Breakfast was very nice, it was buffet style and there were cold and hot options (i.e cereal, croissants, hot water available for oatmeal, toast etc) there was however no cooked option e.g eggs/bacon. The hotel is described as a bed and breakfast though breakfast is an added to the bill; we were only told this once we got to the hotel... it added up to about 6 euro per person per day, and also breakfast served between 7 and 9 which we found quite early. There are however restaurants and a huge shopping mall within walking distance of the hotel which we found handy as our room came equip with cooking facilities.
There is cable available but it is all it French, there were NO English speaking channels, me and my bf bought a dvd to watch to find that the dvd player was not working and the dvd got stuck and scratched in the process (not fun).
I must say the hotel felt more like a apartment block than anything else, reception closed around 6pm and we were given keys to the front door and our rooms. The front door is quite hard to open and after arriving at the hotel late one night there was a point where we thought we'd have to sleep outside. Past the reception times there is actually NO way to get in contact with staff in case of problems. We saw very few staff members apart from the cleaners and one person at breakfast.
Saying this, it’s not a terrible hotel, and if I had to I would say there again, the rooms were kept clean and for the most part it was equipped for our stay. I'd give it 3 and a half if I could but no more than that :)
