I didn't actually stay in this hotel but I had booked for an overnight even though I realised it was out of town. However, after a tiring 7 hour drive from Marbella I was horrified to discove that despite the hotel's web site saying "In reference to the culinary section, the hotel has a big restaurant that offers home-style prepared dishes" this restaurant does not open at weekends. The nearest restaurant was a tram ride away! I then did an internet search and found a four star hotel within 5 minutes drive that did have a restaurant and advised reception that we would not be staying. As we had gone to the bedroom (not unpacked) and had used the bathroom (just to use the wc) we were told we would still have to pay! Following a long disagreement with management it was agreed that there would be no charge as I explained the hotel was not as advertised.
However, if we had arrived midweek I think we would have been reasonably happy as the rooms were acceptable and the restaurant looked as if it would have been alright.
