We stayed in Casa la Parra for a week tvis summer, and it was just wonderful. The owner, Julie; was very welcoming and gave us a lot of helpful information about things to see and do in the beautiful area. If we're going back to Spain again, we're definately going to stay in the same place. We travel a lot but this place is outstanding. Thank you, Julie, for making our stay very special.

We had 6 wonderful days staying in the self catering apartment at Casa la Parra, Algodonales. The villa owner, Julie and her son were extremely friendly and very helpful when it came to giving advice about the local area and places to eat etc. The villa is really nice and offers good value for money. The pool and gardens are well maintained and it is the ideal place for a relaxing holiday. The surrounding area is very beautiful and there are lots of interesting places to visit nearby as well as places like Seville and Jerez which are within a couple of hours driving distance. Algodonales is a small working village and the people are very friendly even though it put our limited Spanish to the test as not a lot of English is spoken here! The bars and restaurants offer a variety of good food at extremely reasonable prices (a beer or a glass of Rioja for 1 euro!) We will certainly consider returning to Casa la Parra as it is the ideal location with an excellent hostess and there is so much more to see in the area.

We choose Casa La Parra as a base location for touring and paragliding. The area of Algondonales is a well known flying site, which kept me happy for 3 days, but I needed something more for my non-flying partner. Casa La Parra offered the ideal solution, run by Julie a lovely English lady and her son Warren, who were both helpful, friendly and always at hand with any local information. The property has 2 self contained self catering apartments or there is the option of choosing one of the rooms in the main house on a bed and breakfast basis. There is secure parking for a number of cars, the gardens are well maintained and pool area offers a nice place to relax, even though it was too cold for us to venture in during our stay. Ronda, Zahara and slightly further afield Seville are good for site seeing and offer a great day out on non-flying days.

A very well maintained property, highly enjoyable stay and highly recomended.

My friend Nancy and I spent two wonderful days at Casa la Para in April of 2010. Julie is a wonderful host - we had a lovely time. I highly recommend this B&B to anyone who will be travelling in this part of Andalucia. Algodonales is a great place to go to get away from the hustle and bustle of the Costas.
