“Like being home, if one had a REALLY nice home!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2012

This bed and breakfast, run by a savvy hostess, has it all: a delightful breakfast, the gorgeous rooms (individually appointed with tasteful furnishings) a wonderful pool, and all centrally located for exploring the charms of Andalucia and the white villages. Algodonales itself is a white village with cafes, a charming square, a beautiful church, and great views. Julie (the hostess) is helpful with information about getting around; it is best to have a car, of course, but the buses are manageable and walking distance from the B&B. You will have a choice of rooms in the house (perfect for a single or couple) and two self-catering apartments. All are equally lovely. I had a wonderful time at Casa La Parra!

Room Tip: Talk to Julie about what you need; she will make sure you are happy!

“A gem of a place!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 November 2011

My husband and I stayed for one night at Casa La Parra a month ago. We were just sorry it couldn't have been longer. What a beautiful home/B&B Julie has in the Andalusian countryside. The B&B is a great location....being only an hour and a half or so from Seville.....and an hour from Ronda.....and 15 mins from Zahara. The B&B has gorgeous spacious rooms.......a beautiful view and a great breakfast. Both Julie and her son are very helpful and extremely nice. If you are traveling the countryside and need a beautiful place to stay...Casa la parra should be it.

“Comfortable guest house in 'real' Spain”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 October 2011

We stayed for 4 nights in early September. The accommodation is spacious, clean, stylish and comfortable, with an attractive swimming pool area and small terrace on which to enjoy breakfast and views of the higher peaks of Grazelma. Julie, the owner, is very welcoming and you soon feel 'at home'. We much appreciated her advice on local walks- the Grazelema Natural Park is a short drive, and arranging bike hire for cycling the nearby Via Verde to Olvera through dramatic changing countryside and in our experience, offering close encounter with a large wild boar and vultures overhead. Strongly recommended! A short walk from the guest house gives access to the village which is not 'touristy' and a choice of small local bars serving good value, basic food. We hope to return in the future!

“We're planning a return visit”

We stayed here for eight nights in July : part of the time in the studio appartment and partt in the self- contained flat. Both were excellent in terms of cleanliness, comfort and well-equiped kitchens! I've stayed in many self catering over the years and rarely found one so well-equipped. Lovely garden, clean pool and pleasent setting close to a small supermarket. About 5 minutes walk from the town centre where there are lots of places serving breakfast and tapas at very reasonable prices - it's probably as cheap to eat out as self-cater. Quality of food excellent.
The owner of Casa la Parra was very welcoming and helpful - anything we wanted to know, she was happy to tell us. There were also lots of brochures/tourist literature in the flats for us to browse through as well as her personal knowledge to draw on.

“Lovely place in the most beautiful countryside”

Julie made us very welcome and our stay was all that we could have wished for. The accommodation is very clean and comfortable and we really enjoyed breakfast on the terrace overlooking the surrounding countryside. There are some fabulous walks from here, and Julie knows them all and is happy to make suggestions and advise. The local bar in the village is full of life, and is incredibly cheap - great Tapas! All in all, we can thoroughly recommend Casa La Parra.
