After leaving the Sura Detox Retreat this morning my head hasn't stopped spinning!
I have shopped and researched raw foods and shopped some more and am really excited about my future eating.
The team were fantastic. Dao's talks very informative and thought provoking, along with informal chats and discussions. Amida's Meditation and Tai Chi wonderfully relaxing and fun (not withstanding the jokes). Broth also got my vote. Benita and her team-superb treatments. I had four, all different and of equally high standard. Kate listened , advised and encouraged - all very positive and reaffirming. Nicky's yoga was gentle but encouraging too.

Going to this detox reshaped my health and life. I have been twice and will go again. For what one gets it is not expensive

The best thing about Sura Detox is the balanced view about life - not to take it all so seriously and get hung up about the detail.

There are no 'shoulds', only choices - everything is a choice. The trick was making that choice from an informed place - and that is what you get here - lots of lessons, lots of hugely interesting information, all about our biology & why we are where we are in our health state at present & how we can fix it - if we choose.

A clear forward path is shown how to transition slowly step by step & how looking at all our choices in context - asking: is this a better choice than that? - helps us clear the muddy waters & guide us ahead in our quest for wellness, vitality & energy.

The team - Dao, Amida, Benita & Kate - are all awe-inspiring individuals, who are full of knowledge, warmth & wisdom.

This is a very supportive environment with great complimentary treatments and insightful counselling.

It was my birthday while I was on this retreat - the best present to myself, ever.

What a week - a smashing venue in beautiful tranquil countryside with superb accomodation, On top of all this you spend a week getting your body, mind and spirit cleansed and reviatlised to be able to fire on all cylinders again. The talks we received were outstanding - so informative and helps you understand what different foods do to your body. What's best is that the infomration is given as information - it is not judgemental - nothing is classed as good or bad, should or should not - just information to help you understand and therefore decide what to eat and how to eat it. So much inspiration while you cleanse. You have to go to understand what it does to you in terms of energy, understanding of foods and motivation ! Mark Laurenti
