Chateau Hotel du Monard was a last minute find after another hotel let us down badly. Although quite a way out from Montelimar, the isolated and peaceful location more than made up for it.
We only stayed one night, but found the rooms perfectly adequate and the restaurant reasonably good.
The hotel itself was a little dated, particularly with a bathroom from the 1970s (and a rather feeble shower), but we could not fault the cleanliness or the service.
Room Tip: Skip the Supérieure and take the Comfort room
