“3stars and half and bad attitude”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 December 2011

For sure this hotel is not a 5 star hotel. The most beutiful thing there is garden and pull. But hotel and rooms are old. There is bad mould smell in the rooms, insects-cock-roach and a lot ot little ants. Clima is old and noisy. /see photos/
The sea is on a distanse from hotel and place not nice. Sand is not real - it is gravel. And "beach" is on a platform, an you shold go to the woter by crossyng very slippery cement and slippery steps. It is very dangerous. Water is clear, but inside is full of big rocks.

Restaurants is big and look like social restauran. Espesaly there is very bad attitude from the service peoples. They are mostly stern-faced. On the front of the restaurant one person is stoping peoples and puting them on line. Can you immagine - and after he deside he allow them to come and to take there mill and go to some table that this service man choose. Resataurant is with self serving.
We was not agree to stay on line so this person chase as from the table /can be in 5 stars hotel !!!/, we ask the maniger. Finaly his manager arrange everiting, but after all why some body will pay to be humiliate from the staff?!

In the day time and evening there is yang peoples - animators - they are very nice and smiling persons.

Hotel is in little village, long distance ffrom landmarks. Corfu sity is on a 30min with car.

We was company of 8 peoples - our advice is - in Greece there is a lot beutiful places when you can spend yor money, but with pleasure. Don't go Marbella Beach hotel if they don't change there service.

“We can say very good hotel”

Stayed here September 2011. We enjoyed our stay, everything was good: the variety of food, which also was quite delicious, friendly staff, sports activity. The animation group organized archery competition, vole ball, aqua aerobic in swimming pool, evening party. We also played tennis and billiard.
The hotel has very large territory with 3 swimming pools and quite convenient way to the sea beach. Also near hotel can find a bus station and car rent. We were lucky to receive a room 804 in main building. The view was to the garden, but it was perfect. May be the equipment was not brend new, but everything was clean.
I recommend this hotel my friends.

Room Tip: We stayed in the main building, room 804 with garden view. Very good room with perfect view. We coul...

“Guys. I have no idea who gave this hotel 5 stars....”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 September 2011

We stayed at the hotel 2 weeks in the beginning of September, most of the tourists in Marbella at least during our stay were from Russia and France. I should say it was exactly the hotel that was the fly in the ointment of our in general beautiful holidays on this beautiful island. I have travelled quite enough to compare it to 3 or 3+ star hotel on quality of cervices, rooms and food. The hotel has more then 1000 rooms so in the morning and in the evening during breakfast and dinner it looks like a beehive. This, of course caanot be considered itself as disadvantage but just to let you know that for those who do not like crowds it is not the right place to go. The hotel consists of main and cluster buildings, the rooms are quite big, but most of them are very old and need renovation. I attach pictures below so that you could see that with your own eyes. Probably not all of the rooms are like that, but we were unlucky to get the bad one. Our friends got the room at first near the transformator, those who know what transformator is and how it is operating should understand all "pleasures" of such neighbourhood. It took them two days to convince the reception and the manager to move them into another room, because it is simply bad for the health... As a results they got a room under the swiming pool which had mould on the walls... It took them two more days to make the reception change their room to a third one, so one week of the holidays was completely spoiled. I think you all should agree that in a 5 star hotel NO rooms near the transformator or with mould should be offered to the visitors... Towels were old and worn out, besides they smelled chloric bleach... Food was quite average, sausages and hot dogs was impossible to eat they seemed to be made out of soybean and paper, juices were flavoured powder dissolved in water, had nothing to do with even juices sold in packs in supermarkets. Many glasses at breakfast had cracks. Not much seafood, they say that ins pite of sea it is quite expensive so it was mostly meat. My mother on the second day after the arrival said that the premises resemle her old Soviet resort at Yalta... It definitely does not worth money paid for it...

Room Tip: It would be better if you initially ask your travel agent to specify in which building your room wil...

We are having a fantastic holiday here. The hotel is spotless in all areas, the staff are friendly, efficient and always in attendance. The food is plentiful, varied and caters for all nationalities.
Overall an excellent establishment in spite of previous criticisms on this site.

Room Tip: All rooms are quiet and central

“Good hotel but needs some work to make it a great hotel.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 September 2011

Stayed here August /Sept.2011.
We enjoyed our stay here but there are a few things that need sorting out.
We arrived at the hotel around 6am after a night flight. We were greeted by the male receptionist who swiftly went through our check in and explained to us how to get to our rooms. There was no porter to take our luggage to the rooms as it was still the night shift.
Not what we really wanted after travelling through the night, this is the first time that we have not had our luggage taken to our rooms.
We were allocated to one of the blocks of rooms set around the complex,we had booked sea view rooms,we were not dissapointed when we opened the curtains of our room, the view was amazing, the sun was just rising up over the sea.
We were too early for breakfast so decided to take a quick look around and unpack.
Breakfast and lunch was served in the main resteraunt, plenty of choice for even the fussiest of eaters.I can see how some people could say it becomes repetative after 2 weeks but that is the same wherever you stay all inclusive. The one thing we did find that the food was not as hot as it could be,some days the food was only luke warm.
There was a choice of eating outside or inside, they liked to show you to your table.
We had no problem getting a sun bed any day of our stay,in fact we were the first people around the pools several days and that was after 8am.
The pools are all the same depth, too deep for non swimmers to be able to join in the pool activities. There are 3 pools and 2 for children. The infinity pool was far too deep for me to be able to enjoy. The rest of the family said it was good.
The pool bar was easy to get to but for a 5 star hotel had no waiter service unless you were half board!!We felt that as others have said on this site that if you were paying you got better service, this was also apparent in the resteraunt and the main bar of hotel.Half board customers had snacks (nuts and crisps) with their drinks. Also no rose wine for all inclusive guests.
The entertainment a the hotel was low key.No music playing around the pool, not a problem for us but several guests commented that they would have liked to have some playing. The animators were all very friendly and were not in your face wanting you to join in like you get in some hotels.
The beach is man made and a long walk down lots of steps through the hotel gardens. The food at the beach was not all inc.Not the norm of all inc.All the beaches on the east coast are man made or very stoney /pebbly.
The hotel is kept very clean and the surroundings are very pretty. There is a steep hill up to the hotel so if you do go out you have a very long and hot walk back up.There are lots of steps around the hotel and not really suitable for people with walking difficulties.
The hotel is quite a way from Corfu town -- 20 -25 mins in a bus.Best to go in the evening when it is cooler. There are 2 small villages 10 mins away but not safe to walk to as there are no pavements and the drivers are crazy.
We travelled with Thomas Cook and our rep was great ,she was there when she said she would be and was really helpful every time we spoke to her.Thanks.
There is free internet access here and 2 computers located in reception.
It seems that the hotel is going to have a refurb over the winter, this is probably well needed as parts of the hotel are looking a little tired and dated.
One big complaint we had about our stay was that the hotel had a wedding booked in and on that day we were told hat the pool was closing to hotel guests at 5pm.This was so that the pool area could be decorated for the wedding party. We also had no access to the pool bar from5pm that day.We had paid for our holiday up front and do not think this was fair.I am sure the hotel benefited financially from the wedding but should not compromise the guests for it.
Finally our journey home from corfu! We were taken to the airport and had to wait outside in the mid day heat for approx 1 hour, only 10 people were being left in at a time. This needs to be sorted out and some better system created. There were families with small children and older people this is totally unacceptable. There were about 4 flights to uk leaving at the same time so you can imagine how many people were there. It is a very small airport. If they want people to come back to their country they need to spend some money at the airport.
