“Definitely NOT A 5-STAR HOTEL”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 September 2010

I really wonder if the management is aware of the disgraceful service they provide!
No 24h room service (which is a prerequisite for a 5star), no one helped us with our luggage or even finding our way to the room (we were wondering around the corridors for 15min in order to find our room). Really slow staff at all restaurants and breakfast room (we had to wait 40min to serve us beers and bring us an ashtray). Our room was in front of the “a la cart” restaurant so we had to put up with the loud music until 01:30 in the morning (of course we complained to the reception but no one cared to do something about it). I could go on and on, but they don’t even worth of a bad review, they’re just a disgrace and it makes me wonder who rated them with 5 stars!!! Such a waste of money (320€ for a standard room)!!

“Great location,view, but dissatisfying service.”

We choosen this hotel for its picturesqueness and it's five stars category. We stayed three nights, from Aug. 17th utill the 20th. We've got the impression that the once great hotel, nowadys the managment is focusing to the profit against the quality. Pitty for such a nice facility that has a potential to justify the five stars.

“Dissapointed”

Definetly NOT a 5 star hotel. Its a shame because the hotel has the facilities but not for long for they are not well maintained, it wa shortstaffed and so obvious to the point you though they would ask you to help them, furthermore the staff that was there especially Front Office was unacceptable (only the lady when we checked out was a little bit ok). SPA: The only thing that was good was the lady that gave me the massage. But it is not exactly the SPA resort you expect. Overall disappointed and do not feel that I got value for money.

“Nice option for family Hotel with very good food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 August 2010

We stayed for a week with two children ( 6 & 8 year old), we closed a package all inclusive with Bed , breakfast and a meal in the hotel .
Rooms was clean and good (not so new and some thinks was not like a five star hotel, they need more detailed work is some cases). First problem was our magnetic card key... in our stay they didnt worked twice , so we gave them an advice to change this key-system. Charges inside the hotel for drinks are 5 star rating, but food was great ( a Chef and also 14 person for cooking) every day with a new surpice in the buffet. Children loved the daily program with breakfast - playing & visiting Lefkadas Beaches - room resting and dinner at night (buffet or al karte).
Hotel is in a good location in Lefkada, best view and very nice pool (very clear waters ) for the kids to swim. SPA pool was also very nice and free to use for in our staying (water was not hot).
WiFi and internet only at the Lobby area, internet is available in the room with a cable but you may ask it from the Reception, i dont know if it is free also.

“Not a 5*, service is poor.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 July 2010

When you pay 190 euros for a double room ("special" rate compared to the huge 340euros official rate!!), you would expect everything to be perfect. Therefore, I would not recommend this hotel, because I don't think that you get what you pay for.
Let's start with the plus points: the premises are fabulous, offering sizeable and very clean rooms and one of a kind sea view. To my oppinion the beds were super comfortable; I was very surprised to read a bad review on that. The balcony is lovely and of good size. The overflowing pool is spectacular and there are plenty of sunbeds around. The hotel beach is decent, the ionian sea is crystal clear and refreshing. Don't expect sand, there are concrete decks with umbrellas and sunbeds. Indeed it is not a kids friendly beach -which is a plus when you just want to relax without kids screaming around. You enjoy spectacular views from every spot in this hotel. The breakfast is a true 5*, in terms of quantities, variety and quality. I also enjoyed a very relaxing full body massage in the spa (ask for Nickie, she is great). And I have to say the hotel does not seem crowded, even when it is fully booked.
Negative comments: The check in is slow; it took about 10 mins to give us the room key, even though there were no other guests waiting. We had booked a double room with two separate beds. We noted that to the young lady at the reception, she smiled and said yes, but surprise-surprise, we were given a double bed. We called the reception, they reassured us they would send someone to move our luggage to another room (#329). A guy came, took the luggage but the reception called to stop him, as they had just figured that there was no room available. Therefore we were returned to the double bed room, with a promise for a new room the following day. The bathroom had both bath tub (shower and tap) and a separate shower area by the toilet. However, in the bath tub the shower did not work at all, while in the shower area, the shower head would spill water in every direction, turning it to a lagoon...
On the second day we were brought to the new room (#320). Even though it did have a sea view, it was next to a walking bridge, so anyone walking could see inside the room (no privacy unless you close the curtains; there goes the view). Again the bath tub shower head was not working, but at least, the separate shower area was OK; no lagoon to dry this time.
There are no tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms. And when you order room service, don't expect to eat at a table (you know, the standard room service rolling table). The waiter brings the tray, but there is no place to put it, except for the desk or the low coffee table in the balcony. Therefore, in any case, you have to hold your plate while you are eating. After we were through with dinner, we placed the tray outside the room. Next morning, the tray was still there, with ants crawling on it too. Uhhh...
There is free wi-fi in the rooms, but it is terribly slow.
The breakfast room (Koezumi restaurant) is huge, however the a/c unit is deafening.
There is free parking, however not big enough, therefore you end up with street parking.
All in all this, is an outrageous situation! Those people have a gem in their hands and they don't know what to do with it. This is a hotel everyone should love to return to and instead, guests just feel they get far less than what they pay for. What is the opposite of value for money?
