we stayed at this once excellent hotel for three nights.1-4/9.this was the second time we visited this hotel,the first being in 2008 when we were left with excellent impressions.unfortunately this time was disappointing. although the view,and the buffet cuisine are remarkable the following were totally bad.they are confusing their 5star identity with an event hall.1 wedding reception that took place on Saturday night was completely offensive towards the clients.we were not informed.there were fireworks at 01:20 am that woke us up and the really loud music went on at least until 5:30 am.furthermore the hotel is not as clean as it used to be.our room was served daily nut used glasses were not removed.a breakfast tray for a room next door remained on the hall for almost 24 hours attracting too many bees(open hall).at the time of checking out today too many people ,at least ten,were complaining about the last night's wedding,but the manager was nowhere at sight.I have to sag however that at that point the receptionist was really trying to cope with us all very kindly but when I asked for the official EOT complaint form,I was pointed to one of the restaurants.when I went there the form was absent.after seeking for it more I got the reply that some other client had taken it an it could not be located at the time.I feel very sorry I have to write this review for such a beautiful ,allthough expensive,hotel. @managent:get your act together and I would be glad to visit you again.we stayed at room 331

We went there for 5 days from 17-21/8/2011.Astonishing view ,great food.Its near Nydri from where you can take an one day cruise to visit Ithacka,Fiskardo ,Porto Katsiki, Skorpio,etc.If you come from Larissa ,tell the service and probably you ll get a better price.We loved the hotel and will visit it again for sure.You should also go to Vasiilili beach ,Kathisma ( early in the morning at least in august) Syvota for good food ,Lefkas (old city) etc

A nice hotel with an extraordinary view from the balconies…. Needs touches to the rooms but in general I would say nice… although just a bit pricy. Food in the hotel definitely needs improvement. Some of the hotel staff were not very nice…

we turned up as walkins and got a good deal on the rooms which were lovely, modern, clean and spacious. The buffet breakfast was ok - lots of choice but the fruit - apples, pears and bananas + tinned fruit salad - come on! where are the fresh peaches, apricots and figs - it is not that difficult! The coffee was awful in the buffet so we had to order coffees from the bar at 4 euros a piece. The good bits: decked beach area and swimming pool, plenty of loungers and umbrellas. The bad bits: pricey drinks, 9 euros for a vodka but the view from the bar is amazing. service a touch slack, maybe they are not busy enough.
we rented a car through the hotel with avis seemed reasonable enough at 40 euros day, parking at the hotel not an issue. Great restaurant in syvota Ionian Taverna, about 25 minutes drive Also worth driving to Nidri and hiring a boat for the day through Trident boats - about 70 euros a day depending on petrol - very friendly setup and youy can prebook. we also enjoyed dimitri's taverna in the hills above Nidri.

overall, the negative reviews below sound justified, it is not really a five star hotel but in our case because we got a good deal on the rooms, I guess we were happy enough.
