“Terrible hotel for the money!!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 December 2011

Stayed here for one week for my Brother's wedding in Summer 2010 and the hotel is well below average. Trust me when I say that I'm not fussy but I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

My bathroom had a hole opposite the shower that went into the hallway which they said was ventilation. Anyone could look through this!!

The toilet bowl was cracked all the way up and leaking onto the floor when ever you used it.

When I complained to the Manager about this she was arrogant and started arguing with my saying it was a nice room! Unbelievable!! I paid over £500 for this room for one week!!

There were advertisements around the hotel showing a play area for children, when I asked about this for my nieces I was told it was broken a year ago and had not been replaced. This meant there was no entertainment for the children at all.

The worst part of the stay has to be the food. The first two days there was chicken, then on the third day this was obviously shopped up for chicken soup and brown chicken nuggets. Disgusting!! The supposedly fresh orange juice was watered down, I could go on and on. My Brothers and me are big lads and no fussy when it comes to food but after 3 days we had had enough and ate at local places just down the road. This did make the trip so much more expensive seen as though we had paid for all inclusive.

I would never go again!! Some relatives stayed at the Zante Maris Hotel and Phoenix Beach Hotel and loved it. If I ever went to Tsilivi again I would opt for one of these.

Room Tip: Avoid the ground floor!

“Food could of been alot better!”

I stayed here bk in august there was 6 of us all adults, the beach location was excellent and the rooms were spotless but it was the food which I thought let us down quite alot.

We stayed here for 10 days all inc and I know I am a fussy eater but I think I ate out in restuarants for about 5 of those days which is not good when you have paid for all inclusive.

Also the bar snacks were not very good a cheese and ham toastie or a little tiny bread roll, I spent most of my time at the little shop a few hundred yards up the road.

The pool was also very nice and the bar staff were really friendly but think they could of done with some better entertainment at night and some menus so that you can chose a drink from them so ya dont always have to drink the same cocktail.

All in all I would come back to greece and maybe back to this hotel if they did something with the food selection.

“Great holiday - Shame we got a very average room.....”

We spent a week here in September as part of a large group holiday. Tsilivi was a fantastic resort lots to do. We had a really good holiday, weather was beautiful all week. Hotel was ideally placed so bars and restaurants were all in walking distance. Will definately go back to resort.

Overall hotel was nice - right next to beach. Pool was lovely; always managed to get a sun lounger and service at the bar was good. Hotel was clean and staff were really friendly and worked hard. We dont usually go on holiday all inclusive and we found the food pretty nice, plently of choice. Though we did eat out a couple of times for a change.

My only critism is that we booked with a lot of others all with the same company and all other guests were in the refurbished rooms which were beautiful: we were in a room the other side of hotel which was no where near as nice. Felt very short changed! Surely if you all pay the same you should expect the same quality.

Room Tip: Ask for a refurbished room!!

just returned from tsivili beach hotel after a mixed bag of weather and after reading a mixed bag of reveiws we found the hotel and its beach location lovely the pool area was nice and clean our room was good and maid service excellent the staff were wonderfull always on hand to help you enjoy your holiday the things that let this hotel down is the food and alcoholic drinks the food at breakfast and lunch wasent too bad apart from it only being bearly warm the evening meals were the same but of a poorer quality and seemed as if they had been cooked the day before as they were always dried up we were there for 11 nights and had to eat out for 7 of them which defeated the object of going all inc also you could drink yourself sober at the bar as i think they forgot to put any alcohol in them there was no entertainment to speak of but maybe because it was late in the year and the hotel was getting ready to close we did find a fantastic restaurent called gorgios opposite the ark bar where we eat every time we eat out good homecooked food and plenty of it reasonably priced the ark bar is also the best bar in the area i would visit tsivili again and stay atthe tsivli beach hotel but only if they did self catering this is defenatly only a 2 star hotel but if they got their act together could be a 4 star +

“Great Hotel - Even Better Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 October 2011

I'll start with an overview - Then i'll go into more detail, so if you wanna grab a tea or coffee, nows your chance !

Fantastic location - Hotel is on the edge of the beach, 5min walk to the town
Food - Good quality and a good selection
Drink - All local brands, and they did the job !!
Rooms - Various views avaliable from sea to pool or both and were of a good standard
Service - Helpfull and polite, Special mention to Andy behind the bar, the guys a legend lol

Checked in monday 3rd october 2011 at lunchtime. Check-in was very quick and we were given room 217 2nd floor overlooking the restaraunt with a side view of the pool and of the sea.
The room was what we expected, twin beds - not double, but we didnt find them very comfortable.
Fridge, tv and hairdryer. Aircon (free depending on who you booked with) if not 5euros a day. Didnt have any english channels, although people we met had bbc1 and sky news on theirs.

The food was very good quality and a good selection

Breakfast 08:00 - 10:00
All the usual, full english - bacon mushrooms beans fried & scrambled eggs grilled tomatoes and omelette. The sausages were only mini hotdogs. Toast, cereals fruit and juices tea & coffee were avaliable, and if u wanted them - Chips!

Lunch 12:30 - 14:30
Dinner 19:00 - 21:00
Selection of meals were similar for both the above meal times.

3 - 4 meat dishes, fish, pasta, rice chips (although they were more like wedges) salads loads of feta cheese and tzatziki. Over the ten days we stayed, Chicken, turkey, pork, lamb, beef were on the menu. Meals included Beef Stifado, turkey and orange, chicken and pork souvlaki lamb steaks in various sauces.
In the 10 days there were only a couple of repeated meals.
The only complaint I had, I thought the chicken was often served a little bit dry - prob a bit overcooked.
Fizzy drinks, red and white wine and local beer was self service at these meal times

Snacks were avaliable from when the bar opened at 11am
These wernt very exciting, only cheese and ham toasties, a small selection of cakes, and some small cheese/ham or tuna rolls.
ice cream was also on offer, and a self service tea and coffee machine was there 24 - 7

All drinks served at the bar were local drinks, all the basics were there - gin vodka brandy rum peach shnapps martini irish cream and of course Ouzo. The local cola was a bit of an aquired taste, but was fine mixed with spirits. some of the spirits did taste a little watered down, but i think they were cheap local brands prob only 30% volume.
up until the evening the drinks were served in plastic cups, but normal glasses in the evening.
cant remember what the lager was called, it wasnt the local favourite Mythos - But it tasted ok, and i was told it was 4.7% volume.

Andy was the main barman, and he was a great laugh - always chatting with people and making you feel welcome.

Evening entertainment
The team of 3, Atilla, Lukas and Louise were a great laugh. Louise's season came to an end 5 days before I left, leaving Atilla & Lukas, and OMG these to guys are mad !!
The entertainment was a bit cheesy at times but very funny. They also organized activities during the afternoon.

The hotel grounds
2 pools one huge (with a small slide) and the other a smaller one, 5 a side football pitch, small basketball court, childrens play area and a games room with pool tables. There were plenty of sun loungers around both pools.

The beach

A 5 second walk from the bar !!
Not the best beach i've been to, a few stones, but you can walk about 100 yards into the sea and the water will only be up to your knees - great for young children. Sun loungers were for hire, a pair and a table and parasol for 6 euros a day.

Tsilivi town

No more than a 5min walk from the hotel, loads of bars restaurants and shops. would recomend a visit to gorgios - had a great meal there.

Last few bits n bobs

The traders that come round the bar pool and beach selling copied albums films and cheap jewellery are a pain in the bum
There is no kettle in the room, so if u like a tea or coffee 1st thing in the morning, take a travel kettle
We stayed at the end of the season, so the maids must have been bored - (the hotel was never more than half full) our rooms were cleaned every day
If you have a late flight like we did, ask for late checkout, it was 20 euros.
You have to but your room key into a small meter in the room to work the electric, so you cant go out during the day or evening and leave your mobile or ipod on charge.

Last message........

Overall a great holiday, weather did let us down on several days but this was to be expected in october. Never had to queue for food or drink, this might be a different story in high season.

Hope this review helps, and I will be more than happy to answer any questions you have, just message me !!!!

Ok, signing off now my fingers need a rest - time for a beer lol

Room Tip: Dont go for a ground floor room - no privacy and no view
