We spent 4 nights at Leeda's Village in Lithakia, Zakynthos and wished we had more. The two level unit had a a bedroom, bathroom with shower, kitchen, dining-room and terrace on the main level, and a loft bedroom with toilet/sink, and terrace with view to the sea upstairs. The idyllic setting included a beautiful inifinity pool, 4 cute puppies, free roaming chickens, and the generous hosting of Dionysios (aka Denis) who would leave garden veggies and fresh eggs out by the pool daily for the guests. The setting is quiet and relaxing. There is a very small rocky beach within walking distance, but we chose to drive to other sandy beaches while exploring the island.
Within the olive groves there is a mini-market with a good selection. The taverna across from the market is unremarkable and caters strictly to tourists; but, if you have a car you will find good selections elsewhere on the island.
Our favorite beaches were Gerakas and Agios Nikolaos on the Vassilikos Peninsula near the sea turtle refuge, and the small beach of Amoudi (extremely limited parking) near the other Agios Nikolaos at the end of the island nearer the Blue Caves. The boat ride to the caves is interesting, but we did not consider it "a must".
